    (An Autonomous body under Govt. of Tamil Nadu) Directorate of Technical Education Campus Guindy, Chennai 600 025. __________________________________________________________________________ Partial Financial Assistance to Travel:

    Under this scheme partial financial assistance is extended to young research scientists who are normally 40 years or below, and working at Universities /Colleges/Autonomous Institutions/ Govt. Department towards the cost of travel at the maximum of Rs.30,000/- or 50% of air fare, whichever is less for the oral presentation of the papers at the International Conferences/ Seminars. In the case of National Conferences/Seminars, first class train-fare (Up & down) will be provided.

    Conditions governing travel-grant are: The other 50% air-fare is to be met by the University/ College/ Other Scientific Organization/ Government Departments. A certificate to this effect should be sent along with your application. The journey is to be made by the national carrier, i.e., Air-India/Indian Airlines and the ticket should be purchased directly and not through any travel agent. The payment will be made after completion of the journey and the amount will be disbursed through the head of the Institution. The
