Nilos hobby is collecting coins and bills of Philippines money. Can you identify them? Let the pupils name the coins and bills up to 100. The pupils show the different coins and bills using play money. What can you see in the Philippine bills and coins? How do we show appreciation for our national heroes?

Developmental Activities 1. Presentation I have coins and paper bills. Identify them. (The teacher writes the amount as the pupils identify them.) Read the money symbols on the board.

* Discussion and Analysis How much is your money today? Write the amount of your money on the board. Lets read the amount of money that you have. How are the amounts of your money written? What is the sign for peso? How is read? How is the centavo written? What separates the peso and the centavo? How do you read the point? 2. (The pupil who answers first gets a point and gives his own riddle. The pupil who get 5 points first is the winner.) Valuing: Ask the importance of having our national heroes. Ask how they will show appreciation for our national heroes.

3. Generalization How do read money in symbols through 100? We read money like reading whole numbers and adding centavos or pesos afterwards. How do we write money through 100 in symbols? We write money in symbols writing the peso or centavos sign with the money value. We write a point to separate the peso value to the centavo value.
