Course Requirements
(Lecture) 3 Written Examinations, Design exercises, Problem Sets (Lab) 3 Design Problems

Grade Breakdown
For the lecture class: 20% Design Exercises 10% Problem Set 70% Exams

Final Grade for ECE 113 30% *Laboratory Grade + 70% * Lecture Grade A student must have both the laboratory grade and lecture grade above 60% in order to pass the course. You must pass both the laboratory and the lecture components of the course!

Grading System
[92 - 100] [88 - 92) [84 - 88) [80 - 84) [76 - 80) 1.00 1.25 1.50 1.75 2.00 [72 - 76) [68 - 72) [64 - 68) [60 - 64) below 60 2.25 2.50 2.75 3.00 5.00

Class Policies
The student must pass both the lecture and laboratory components of the course. There will be 3 Long Exams. Absolutely NO CHEATING. A student proven to have cheated or have aided in cheating automatically incurs a 5.0 and a case with the Student Disciplinary Tribunal. Re-grading of exam papers will only be considered up to a week after the exams are handed out.

If a student fails to take any of the scheduled long exams, he or she must notify his or her instructor as soon as possible. The student must secure an ocial excuse slip from the College Secretary and submit the same to his or her instructor within one week after he or she ocially reports for class. A Comprehensive Exam will be given only to those who missed an exam due to an excused absence. If the absence is due to a valid reason, the grade in the comprehensive exam replaces the missed exam. The comprehensive exam can replace a missed exam only once. Missed exam/s due to unexcused absence/s or a second missed exam will be given a grade of zero. There will be no grade of 4, which means that no removal exams would be given. INC will only be given if both the lecture grade and the lab grade are passing. Non-submission of problem set and design exercise for the lecture class will be given a grade of 0. Illustration. For the laboratory class, each design problem is 33.33% of your laboratory grade. If you have not completed the third design problem at the end of the semester, you MAY be given an INC IFF your lecture grade is passing >= 60% and your lab grade without the third design problem is above 0.6 (33.33% + 33.33%) = 40%. However, your lab instructor will have the discretion whether he considers an INC or youll be given a 0 for no submission.
