Fillet Welding Connection

This document is a calculation sheet for a weld connection used in the Airport katunayake job. It calculates the requirements for a 900 fillet weld connecting 6mm plates with an 8mm section thickness. The weld is designed to have a leg length of 5mm and throat size of 3.5mm using E43 electrodes and steel with a design strength of 215N/mm2. Based on an applied force of 2.83kN, the required length of the weld is calculated to be 3.76mm. Minimum end return, lap joint, and end connector lengths are also specified.
