In our country the number of cars are increasing time to time, there for road and
parking problems are increasing as well. ence R!"#$"RC and D!%!&'()!*+ has
propos the design of a stacker car parking system for ,- cars .using ground /0 car shelve1
to solve the shortage of car parking space in )!+!C head office as well as for the country.
+his kind of car parking system has solve the problem of car parking space in developed
country. !2ample of this technology can be seen in large cities or towns. " conventional
car park is by reserving a big piece of land where all the parking lots are on the ground
level outside a building. "nother type of conventional car park is the multi storey car parks
where it is build underground or above the ground intended to reduce parking space. +he
weakness of these e2isting parking systems is that it re3uires the car drivers a lot of time to
search for an empty parking lot hence wasting the car4s fuel. In some modern countries,
they had already developed an alternative to counter this problem by building an
automated parking system. +he system will automatically park the car into the parking lot
without being accompanied by the driver or passenger. In this car parking lot the driver
will enter a garage and leave the car their, hence the system do the parking automatically.
+hen, when the car owner want to retrieve their car, they will command the system to
automatically sent there car back into the garage, so they can e2it the car park facility.
+here for the research work is to design and manufacture of ,- car parking lot.

Introduction
Understanding of e!uirement
*owadays, the increased number of cars had caused not only traffic congestion but also
problems in finding a parking vacancy. +his situation can be e2perienced by drivers
especially in the cities where an empty parking space is very hard to find. )!+!C head
office has been e2periencing parking problem in similar manner. In order to solve the
problem, the corporation has shown interest to build a new and automated car parking
system.

Approach to Meet the e!uirement
+he research and Development has understood the problem and proposed an automated
multi7level car parking system based on the input parameters described in the re3uirement
section above. +he system consists of a stationary slots .main structure1, a movable structure
which is guided on slots mounted to the foundation slab as well as on the roof and houses a
main lift inside a mechanism to lift up and move down the car and au2iliary lifting
mechanism to push and pull the cars from the main lift into the slots and reverse. #uch
parking system is suitable for parking cars 0- to1-- accommodations.
