Two sister ships, the mv Friedrich Russ and mv Elisabeth Russ, currently operate on the route with sailings 3 times per week. The ships can carry 303 TEU and 105 trailers. Transfennica aims to provide a reliable, environmentally friendly and cost effective transport option for cargo between Northwestern Europe and the Iberian peninsula. Future plans include expanding the fleet and increasing sailings to 5 times per week to further improve service on this new southern route.

    Bilbao-Zeebrugge route enabling 5 sailings
