Problem 1 (4 pts)
A three phase balanced circuit is in the figure 1.
We have:
uA = 220
uB = 220

sin(t-60) V.
sin(t180) V.
uC = 220
sin(t+60) V.
The value of loads are correspondance Z1 = 12 + j6 () and Z2 = 36 + j18 ().
The impedance of cable Zd = 2 + j ().
a) Compute the line current of the source iA, iB, iC (instantaneous forme) (2.5pts)
b) Compute the phase current iAB in the delta-connected load (1.5pts)
Problem 2 (1 pts)
Compute the current through a person who is standing in the substation. A short circuit
current of 7kA passes through a grounding object installing 3,5m away that person, the
distance between his feet is 0,8m. Knowing that the body resistance is R bd = 1000 ,
ground resistance of a single foot Rf is 1700 , and the soil resistivity is 250 m.
Problem 3 (2.5 pts)
The three phase transformer in 110kV Lien Chieu Substation rated at 40 MVA, 115 kV
(Y)/23 kV(Y) has the following parameters: R 1=1, R2=0.5, R0=500, X1=6, X2=2,
X0=1.5k.
The transformer supplies for a load of 25 MVA at 0.8 lagging power factor and the lineto-line voltage across the load is equal 22kV. Compute the following:
