The purpose is the separation of grains having a non-conforming colour

The unit will work and perform fine in the range of -50%, +20% of the given throughput. The
machines yield is closely connected with the characteristics of the in-feed product and its
contamination rate.
Sorters Configuration:
7 chutes,14 CCD cameras (7nos in the front side and 7nos in the rear side),
420 ejectors (inspection front 300 mm each chute.)
The multiple-channel models (MC 3, 4, 5 and 7) can be configured with different sections to run
automatic re-sorting. The second section could be used for a second sorting pass (in order to
improve further final quality) or for the reject re-pass (to recover good product rejected along with
impurities during 1st pass).
The machine configuration (without or with double section) must be specified at order. For further
information please see scheme at page 4.

Principle of Milltec
sorter functioning:
The product to sort is fed into the hopper (1) located on a
vibrating plate (2). The plate then spreads it and carries it
through oblique chutes (3), where it is further separated.
The product then falls through an analysis section where
each particle is checked by two optical devices facing
each other (4). The characteristic electrical signal for each
colour is conveyed to a control unit which converts this
signal. Should non-designated particles be present, these
are shunted off to the discard bin (5) by means of an air
blast fired by ejectors (6). Product considered good is
instead dropped into the good product hopper.
Our sorters are controlled by microprocessors and their
sophisticated software allows the use of up to 80 different
sorting programs storable on board.
Thanks to this they apply to manifold production needs,
since the same machine is able to carry out different
sorting process of the same product or of different
products, in a matter of a few minutes. This is why our
sorters turn out to be extremely versatile and adaptable to
different sorting requirements.

re-control of the 1st reject so that to recover part of the

auto-setting and automatic sorting control. They also ensure specific functions such as
self-diagnosis and memorization of different working conditions and programs
connected to different production needs. For a complete control of functions, very
powerful microprocessors enable a perfect functioning of high capacity sorters
featuring MS Sorter Software and new generation sensors.
Auto Intelligence system Inbuild (Auto Calibration)
Self Diagnostics system Inbuild
Control panel with 10 inches touch-screen visualizing any functioning parameters &
alarms. Memory and electronics are conveniently placed on extractable boards
allowing easy replacement of components and upgrading of the software.

MS Sorters agrees to repair, or, at our option, replace free of charge any part which can be proved to
be defective due to poor workmanship or unsuitable material.
This guarantee is in lieu of any other guarantee expressed or implied and shall not cover any part of
equipment which has been damaged by misusing mishandling and improper maintenance as well as
any part of equipment which is subject to wear and tear.
MS Sorters shall not be responsible for any direct or indirect or consequential damage including but
not limited to loss of revenue, injury, etc.
Start up and
training:
MS Sorters will arrange the commissioning at customers premises after due installation and
connection to mains and compressed air. Also auxiliary equipment (hoppers, loading and collection
systems...) must be functional and ready to operate. For the put in function of the machine all products
to be sorted shall be available in a certain quantity in order to adequately fine-tune the machine.
Service includes: commissioning, start up and trial run, training.
The costs for start up and training service are specified in the present offer.
Accessories for the

colour sorters:
The technical specifications of necessary equipment such as air compressor, air dryer, additional hoppers
for the colour sorter will be furnished by us. The customer will then procure these items directly from the
local suppliers.
