Place the NC in MDI mode
Press the SETTING function key until the "SETTING(HANDY)"
page is displayed.
Position the cursor on "PARAMETER WRITE" field. Set to 1 by
pressing the "ON:1" softkey.
Cursor down to I/O Channel. Set to 0 by pressing the "OFF:0"
softkey.
Press the SYSTEM key once, then the PARAM softkey.
Find and input the following parameters. Be sure to remember
that bit 7 is the leftmost bit and bit 0 is the rightmost bit on
parameters where individual bits are entered.
20 = 0
100 bit 7 = 1 (NULL is ignored)
100 bit 6 = 0 (RESET can stop operation)
100 bit 5 = 1 (DNC mode fills buffer)
100 bit 3 = 1 (LF)
100 bit 2 = 0 (LF)
100 bit 1 = 0 (no TV parity checking)
110 bit 0 = 0 (unified control of IO channels)
101 bit 7 = 1 (no NULL feed before/after program)
101 bit 3 = 0 (EIA or ISO automitically detected/7 data bits channel 1)
101 bit 0 = 0 (1 stop bits - channel 1)
102 = 0 (RS232 DC code control - channel 1)
103 = 11 (9600 baud rate - channel 1)
Other values for parameter 103 (value = baud): (1 = 50; 2 =
100; 3 = 110; 4 = 150; 5 = 200; 6 = 300; 7 = 600; 8 = 1200; 9
= 2400; 10 = 4800; 11 = 9600; 12 = 19200)
When done, press the SETTING key to return to the
"SETTING(HANDY)" screen. Select the "PARAMETER WRITE"
field and set to 0.
Restart your CNC control.
-----------------Note: Check parameter 20 setting. If it is set to 1,
communication to parameters 111, 112, 113. If parameter
20=0, parameters 101, 102, 103 are referenced. Also note,
parameter mappings are similar to Fanuc 16i/18i/21i controls.
