Project System- Overview

Project structures:
1. WBS
2. By Process (Individual activities) (Work Packages)

Internally Financed projects:


- Overhead
- Capital investment
To create Master Data WBS, Network, and Milestones need to complete blow.
1. Create Status Profile
a. System status : CRTD (Created), BDGT (Budgeted), AVAC (Availability
Control Activated).
b. Business can create user defined status as well.
2. Create Project Profile:
a. Each Project definition need to be assigned to Project Profile. Is a
variant that contains:
i. Status profile
ii. Budget Profile
iii. Planning Profile
3. Create Project Type -> each wbs, project def. need to be assigned to a
project type.
4. Define Person Responsible: SAP ID. Can be assigned to WBS element master
data
5. Validation and substitution.
6. Specific layout and reporting requirement (dont forget to create budget and
planning profile).
7. Responsible Cost Center -> WBS
8. Work Center -> Networks (can define person responsible for networks as
well).
9. We can also define network validation and substitution at Network header
and activity level.
10.If using Milestone, please define milestone usage and selection profile.

Pointers:
1. Activate project management at controlling level
2. Value categories (can assign cost element to value category) Impt! If your
budgeting WBS element using cost element
3. Specify tolerance limit can define at budget profile level
4. Construct availability control (depends upon budget profile and monitors the
budget)
5. We can settle WBS elements. We can configure settlement profile and no.
range for settle documents.
6. Interest calculation, period reposting and overhead can be calculated.

To Upload WBS Budget. Execute transaction in sequence.
