System requirements
Windows XP, Vista, 7 and 8
Mac OSX 10.6 or later
Minimum 1024 768 screen resolution
Speakers or headphones
Internet connection (optional only needed to access the online Cambridge dictionaries)
Mac users
1. Insert the disc into your CD-ROM drive.
2. Double-click the ObjAdv4e CD-ROM icon on your desktop to open it.
3. Double-click the Objective Advanced 4th Edition application icon and follow the
onscreen instructions.
Mac users may get the following pop up when installing to OS X.9: Select an Installation
Package.
1. Click on the ObjAdv4e folder.
2. Click on the App folder.
3. Run the Objective Advanced 4th Edition.air file.
4. The product should continue to install.

Note that Application Data and AppData folders may be hidden. To unhide these folders
(and others), open Folder Options in the Control Panel, and on the View tab, change the
option to Show hidden files and folders, and click OK. For further help on clearing user

To completely uninstall the Objective Advanced 4th Edition software, you must uninstall
both parts by following the steps below:
Windows users
1. Close Objective Advanced 4th Edition if you are running it.
2. From the Start menu, open the Control Panel.
3. Double-click Add or Remove Programs (Windows XP) or Programs and then Programs
and Features (Windows Vista, 7 and 8);
4. Find Objective Advanced 4th Edition application in the products list and click it to
highlight it.
5. Click Remove (Windows XP) or Uninstall (Windows Vista, 7 and 8). The Objective
Advanced 4th Edition application is removed.
6. Next, click on Objective Advanced 4th Edition content to highlight it, click
Change/Remove (Windows XP) or Uninstall (Windows Vista, 7 and 8) and follow the
onscreen instructions.
Windows 8 users may need to manually remove some of the course content, should the
application not uninstall fully (default: C:\Program Files\Cambridge\CambridgeContent).
Mac users
1. Close Objective Advanced 4th Edition if you are running it.
2. In your Mac's Applications folder, navigate to the following folder:
Cambridge\CambridgeContent\Uninstall_ Objective Advanced 4th Edition content.
3. Open the Uninstall_ Objective Advanced 4th Edition content folder, double-click the
file called Uninstall Objective Advanced 4th Edition content, then follow the onscreen
instructions.
4. Once the uninstallation procedure has finished, go back to the Cambridge folder. In
this folder, find the _ Objective Advanced 4th Edition application icon. Drag this icon
into the Trash to complete the Objective Advanced 4th Edition uninstallation.
