Synopsis

Project :Restaurant Management System

INTRODUCTION:-
The project entitled RESTAURANT MANAGEMENT SYSTEM is a pilot project for a new
Restaurant to be start soon in the city. The management planned this Restaurant to operate by
the end of next month. They have a plan to digitalize their system to eliminate the risk of
manual errors. To manage all these they require a full fledged software which will take care
all these.

PROJECT:-
RESTAURANT MANAGEMENT is a software application to replace the traditional system
(i.e. a restaurant paper menu and ordering system), which can also be used to make
reservation in the Restaurant. The application software displays all the information the
customer need to know about the reservation and the order he has placed.

OBJECTIVES:-
• This will minimize the number of employees at the back of the counter. • It will help to
reduce the cost of labor.

• It will be less probable to make mistake, since it is a machine.

• This will avoid long queues at the counter due to the speed of execution and number of
optimum screens to accommodate the maximum throughput

SCOPE:-
This application is built in such a way that it should suits for all type of restaurant in future.
So every effort is taken to implement this project in this restaurant, on successful
implementation in this restaurant, we can target other restaurants in the city.

To manage employees in the restaurant it had the following modules

Monitor : 15”CRT, or LCD monitor

Keyboard : Normal or Multimedia

Back End : My SQL
