Introduction:

Welcome to The Foodie…..!

The Foodie is a dynamic and user-friendly platform specifically


designed to provide an interactive and seamless experience for
both restaurant owners and customers. This web application aims
to streamline restaurant operations, enhance customer service and
simplify the overall meal experience.

With a range of features and functionalities like user-friendly


interface, attractive menu, menu showcase, online food ordering,
online payment or cash on delivery, easy stock management, deals
and discounts and simple user profile and admin dashboard design.

This black book serves as a foundation for the project outing for the
project Outlining its goal scope etc details through careful Planning
an execution week are confident that this project will have
significant impact on modernizing food ordering services.

Limitations of current system:

 Some applications do not provide the user-friendly interface.

 Some application does not provide easy way to manage the stock
items.

 Provide less security.

 Some application does not allow to view the menu without login to
the application.
Advantages of proposed system:
 This application provide the easy food ordering.

 When customer visit website they can view the menu section
without login.

 It provides more user friendly interface.

 Thia application reduce the difficulty of owner to manage the of


restaurant.

 It provide easy way to manage the stocks.

Modules with Description:

I. User Registration and Authentication:


Allow users to register and create an account. Implement
user authentication and authorization mechanisms to secure
access to certain features.

II. Menu Management:


Create and manage a dynamic menu of food items. Allow
administrators to add, edit, and delete menu items. Gives
menu categories wise like breakfast, lunch, dinner and so on.
Include details like item name, description, price, image, size.
Customer can select order type like pickup or delivery.

III. Online ordering system:


Enable customers to browse the menu, select items, add
them to their cart, specify quantities. Implement a checkout
process to collect customer details (delivery address, contact
information) and process payments.
IV. Payment Gateways:
Allow customer to enter their payment details with payment
options like credit cards, debit cards or cash on delivery and
complete the transaction.

V. Admin Dashboard:
Allows administrator to view and process orders, manage
menu items and stock categories, update restaurant
information and give the visibility to the food items.

VI. User Profiles:


Allow user to manage their profiles including personal
information, addresses, order history, profile photo, my cart
option and complaint option.

VII. Feedback:
Admin receive feedback from customer about there service
and according to that feedback admin can make changes in
the services.

VIII. Deals and Discounts:


Allows administrator to creates delas and discounts on food
items for attracting the customers.

IX. Search Filters:


Allows customer to search their desired food items from the
menu.

X. Report:
Admin create the monthly or weekly report about the sales
due to which he/she get the idea about the profile or loss in
the business.
Front-End:
 ASP.NET
As we need to develop web application for online restaurant system, we will use
ASP.NET as it is the Microsoft technology to develop any application which supports
and integrates other server products for the internet.
In this we will use C# as our language. There also will be some use of HTML, CSS,
Bootstrap, JavaScript.

Back-End:
 SQL Server
In this application we will use SQL Server for storing the data. Microsoft SQL server as
our database and it has so many features which is ideal for our dot net-based
application. Features includes reliability, replication, scalability, centralized
management, support for multiple platforms, integration with Microsoft .NET
enterprise serves.
