Dear School Head:
Greetings from PEAC!
I would like to invite your institution to participate in the 2019 Summer In-Service Training
(INSET) Program for Junior High School (JHS) Teachers.
The PEAC has been commissioned by the Department of Education to implement the INSET
under its GASTPE Program. As an accredited Continuing Professional Development (CPD)
Provider, the PEAC was granted by the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) 15 and
19 credit units in the 2017 and 2018 Summer INSET for JHS teachers respectively which
participants can use for the renewal of their professional license.
The 2019 Summer INSET program for JHS teachers focuses on “Designing, Assessing and
Facilitating Learning of the K-12 Standards with 21st Century Pedagogies”. Participants will:
• prepare a curriculum map that unpacks the requirements of the K-12 subject
curriculum guide;
• present a unit learning plan that is aligned with K-12 standards and develops
students’ 21st century skills for global competitiveness; and
• align the curriculum map and learning plan and classroom teaching with PEAC
Certification requirements.
I am pleased to inform you that we are offering the following subject areas and tracks:

Licensed teachers must complete the required number of hours for a full three-day training
for them to earn CPD units. The schedule is as follows:
Day 1 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Day 2 7:30 AM – 5:00 PM
Day 3 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM
Participants are advised to bring the following for the workshop:
1. Laptop or tablet with adapter (highly recommended) and extension cord
2. Flash Drive (USB)
3. References for their subject area (e.g., Books, eBook, Printed or Digital Instructional
Resources)
4. Soft copy of the curriculum guide in their subject area
All those interested to attend the training must register online at peac.org.ph. Online
registration will open on February 18, 2019. The registration fee covers 3 meals (lunch), 6
snacks, and a training kit that includes handouts.

Walk-in registration and on-site payment are strongly discouraged. The PEAC
reserves the right to decline walk-in participants in view of the capacity of the venue
and logistical requirements of the training. Slots are reserved to participants who
registered online and paid before the cut-off date.
Attached to this letter is the schedule of the training in 13 venues nationwide. Online
registration for each venue will close on the specified date or when slots have been filled.
