1. Management of Asbestos and Associated Risk: BizOps need to appoint a competent person
to ensure that all asbestos or ACM at the workplace are identified and arranging for a
sample of material at the workplace to be analysed for the presence of asbestos or ACM.

A range of activities can assist in ensuring people have the necessary knowledge and skills to
complete the work safely, including general construction induction training and other training
specific to the workplace or the task the person is performing. The provision of adequate facilities
for workers including toilets, drinking water, washing facilities and eating facilities, and the facilities
are maintained in good working order and are clean, safe and accessible.

Risk identification
Risk identification is a structured approach to identifying the events that, if they were to occur, could
have a negative impact on the organisation.
Risk management plays a pivotal role to eliminate the hazards in the organisation, so in this WHS
management plan we will systematically identify hazards, assessment and control before the start of
this project by using the hierarchy of control method.
By developing Safe Work Method Statement to control risks related with high risk
construction work.
By using the risk management forms.
Moreover, we will identify additional the risk in the scenario, if:
When there is new task, procedures are introduced.
When we buy any chemicals and equipment.
Furthermore, all the identified hazards will be reported immediately to the respective departments
to resolve.
All risks within BizOps are ranked using a common scale that assesses:
• the potential consequences if the risk were to occur
• the likelihood of BizOps being impacted in that way.
A common approach to risk ranking is necessary to ensure that the largest risks to BizOps can readily
be identified and risk management can be prioritised in a way that has the greatest overall benefit to
the organisation.

Around 12 600 workers’ compensation claims are accepted from the construction industry each year
for injuries and diseases involving one or more weeks off work. In the construction industry this
equates to 35 serious claims each day.
When an injury occurs in the workplace then the incidence report is filed by the employee and the
employer submits the form to the insurance company. They keep the record of the incident and
reported to the government agency of the claim. Government agency keep a close eye on the
incident and conduct the research how it occurred so that they can implement appropriate
measures to avoid such injury in near future.
Analysing injury and illness incident reports can be an important source of information on
uncontrolled hazards. In particular, KPIs which identify the body part that was injured or the nature
of illness or disease can alert management to areas of risk exposure in the workplace.
Relevant questions about injury and illness seek to understand the damage sustained by workers at
work. Examining injuries and illnesses provides clues to both the consequences of WHS system
‘failures’ and the different types of hazards that were uncontrolled at the time the incident
occurred. These different perspectives offer useful insights into the scope, scale, drivers and
consequences of Class 1 and Class 2 damage.
Class 1 injury permanently alters a person’s life, including disability or disfigurement (may or
may not return to work).
