Field Welding Inspection Checklist: Wisconsin Department of Transportation

This document is a field welding inspection checklist used by the Wisconsin Department of Transportation. It requires inspectors to document welding qualifications, procedures, materials, environmental conditions, preheating requirements, and visual inspection results for each weld on structures requiring field welding. Inspectors must verify welder qualifications, welding procedure specifications, storage and conditions of electrodes, preheat temperatures if required, and ability to read voltage and current during welding. They then visually inspect each weld and document any quality issues or corrective actions needed.
