A Semi-Detailed Lesson Plan in Science III

I. Objectives
at the end of the lesson, the pupils will be able to:
a. Identify living and non-Living things.
b. Appreciate the sorroundings through labelling.
c. Respond actively in the class discussion.

II. Subject Matter


Topic: Living and non-living things
Referrence: Grade III Earth and Life Science Book
Materials: Visual aids

III. Procedure
A. Preliminary activities
1. Greetings
2. Arranging of chairs
3. Checking of attendance
4. Review of the past lessons (The teacher will call student/s to
recap the past lessons.)

B. Motivation
• The teacher will show some picture of living and non-living things.
• The puoils will answer the following questions.
1. Can you please tell me what is in this picture?
2. Do you think this pictures is alive or not?

C. Activity
• The class will be divided into 3 groups, they will be given 1 card .board
each and they are going to play a game.
• Here is the mechanics of the game:
1. The teachers will going to show pictures then each of the groups will
try to immedietly identify if it is living or non-living things and write the
answer to the cardboard and raise the card board.
2. The first group who will the card board will be given 1 points.
3. The group who will get a lot of points will be the winner and recieve
a price.
4. The game will be in 5 rounds only.

D. Analysis
• The teacher will present those pictures from the activity and explain
why those things is categorized to living and non- living things.

E. Abstraction
• The teacher will further discuss the lesson.
• The pupils will answer the following questions:
1. Again, what is living things?
2. And non-living things?
• Drill Activity
Instruction
Each of the pupils will find 5 things inside only the classroom
and after that they will identify those things if it is living or non-living things.
Put your answer on a 1 whole sheet of paper.

F. Application
• The pupils will now be able to identify those things that arounds them
if it is a living or non-living things.

IV. Evaluation
(The pupils will classified the following)
Instruction: Write L if it is living things and NL if it is non-living

_________5. Table

V. Assignment
Give 10 example each of living and non-living things.
