Adam and Eves
Adam and Eves
Adam and Eves
← “Have to plan for the future. Got to plan for the future...”, Adam told
himself.
←
← He was careful to whisper. If he could not control his habit of talking to
himself, at least he could make sure he didn’t give himself away.
←
← “Ok,” he told himself. “Let’s have a look at the checklist. Gotta be
prepared. Idiots die, smart men live. That’s what Daddy always said.”
←
← At least before Adam had killed him. He paced in his combat boots and
smiled to himself at the memory. He really could not remember if Daddy had
been a zombie before, or after that little event. When he let his mind
wander, he could remember the belt... and the screaming… And Daddy
calling his useless name.
←
← Useless, useless useless.
←
← Adam smiled a thin smile. That was the old Adam. The old name. He
was Adam now. Savior of the human race.
←
← A scratching at the back door and a muffled moaning. Adam’s head
leapt up like a rabbit. He listened intently. He stayed quiet. He had even
made sure that the cracks had been filled in with foam insulation. He didn’t
want the Zs outside getting a sniff of him or more likely, seeing candlelight.
He waited in the semi-darkness a full 20 min, hardly daring to breath until
the scratching stopped and the Z shuffled off.
←
← Adam giggled a little, letting his nervous energy bleed away. He didn’t
even notice how hard he’s been gripping his 9mm, or that he had drawn it.
He holstered the weapon
←
← “Ok,” he tried again, picking up the list. “Food, check. Water, check, at
least for a couple months or so. Ammo, HA! Plenty of ammo. Big heavy
check.” He marked his book with a big heavy sharpie. The pages were
scrawled black with notes.
←
← “Future of the human race.”, said the list. Adam paused and tapped
the pen on his journal. He walked through the building to the basement
door. It was big, steel and locked from his side. There was a hollow
pounding coming from the other side and faint female voices.
←
← “Open up this goddam door you bastard! Let us out you slimy toad!
You have no right!”
←
← Adam stepped back from the door.
←
← “Nope, not gonna force myself on them,” he told himself, “That would
not be right, not right at all.” Adam all but chuckled.
←
← “But that whole ‘not if you were the last man on Earth’ argument really
looses some steam when you really are.”, Adam giggled.
←
← His head snapped up. He cleared his weapon from his holster. “That
was whispering. That was whispering and it was coming from outside.”
←
← “Zs don’t whisper.” Adam spoke.
←
← “But men do.”
←
← Game Set Up
← 1) The town is created normally, with the large open area in the
middle of town and 4 random L-Shaped boards.
←
← 2) The hero player(s) choose any two male Heros they wish. No
female characters may be chosen.
←
← 3) Before the game begins, the Zombie player begins flipping hero
cards over until he finds a “Townsfolk” card. That card is taken aside and the
corresponding townsfolk counter is pulled. This is “Adam.” The Zombie
Player starts with only 1d6 Zombies.
←
← 4) The Hero Player(s) DO start with their special starting cards. They
also start with:
←
← - Any two hero cards from the hero deck (Their choice.)
← or
← - 6 Random cards from the hero deck
←
← If hero cards are drawn randomly, no special card drawing abilities
may be used at his time.
←
← 5) The Zombie Player indicates any building on the board. That
building becomes “Adam’s Stronghold”. The “Adam Counter” begins play
inside.
←
← 6) The Heros do NOT use their Start Locations. They begin play in any
building directly opposite Adam’s stronghold.
←
← Special Rules
← Adam
Adam is counted as a super zombie with two hits. Adam does NOT have to
move towards the Hero Characters when he is next to them as do Zombies.
(See Zombie Hunger, Pg. 10.)
←
← Adam is also armed with a revolver, the card and two ammo cards are
pulled for him as a reminder. During the zombie attack phase, Adam may
also fire this weapon at Hero Players as well as attacking them normally if
possible. A hit counts as a wound. The Zombie player never makes an
ammunition check. (Adam has a HUGE stockpile of ammo.)
←
← Adam’s Stronghold
← Zombies may NOT enter Adam’s stronghold, and Adam cannot leave it.
Adam may fire out through the walls however, if he can see a target Hero,
(If he can see them, see pg. 13 for Line of Sight rules.) If there is a
spawning pit inside, then zombies may not use that spawn until Adam is
killed. The house may NOT be the target of a “They’ve taken over the…”
card, HOWEVER, “They Cut the Power” is unrestricted.
←
← The Hero’s may not fire into the house. It is sealed too tightly for that.
←
← However, when Adam is killed, the restriction on zombies entering or
spawning in Adam’s Stronghold ends. The Hero player(s) restrictions also
end. (See below.)
←
← Setting Up the Board
← Use the Town Center and 4 random L-shaped Outer Boards selected
and Positioned Randomly.
←
← The two Hero Characters start in the center of the Town Square. The
Zombie Player picks any building as Adam’s Stronghold. The Eves do not
enter the game until Adam is killed and they are rescued. Or the original
Hero Characters are killed. (See below.)
←
← Adam begins in his stronghold
←
← Special Movement Rules
← Zombies may not enter Adam’s Stronghold until he is killed. Adam
may not exit his stronghold, ever.
←
← The Hero Player may enter the stronghold only through the door(s)
and only if the Hero Character has “The Keys” item.
←
← Special Combat Rules
← Adam counts as a Super Zombie with two wounds. He is also armed
with a revolver and during the Zombie Attack Phase may fire at Hero
Characters as well as attack normally as a Zombie. A hit will count as one
wound.
← The Hero Characters may shoot at Adam, but only if they have Line of
Sight on him. (See pg. 13.)
←
← Rolling Random Buildings
← If a roll for a Random Building indicates Adam’s stronghold, a new
building must be chosen.
←
← Bringing in New Hero Characters
← If Adam is slain, the players activate the “Eves”, Becky, Sally and
Jenny. The new characters are divided as evenly as possible between the
Hero Players and become active characters. Place their figures into any
square in Adam’s former Stronghold. The Hero Player receives, as a reward
for killing Adam, the revolver card and two ammo cards that were set aside.
←
← Women’s Liberation!
← If the last male Hero character dies, he becomes a Super Zombie.
Also the hostages free themselves!!! They appear in Adam’s space the
instant the last rescuer dies and are taken over by the Hero players. If this is
the Hero’s turn, they may act now. They do NOT get Adam’s Revolver or
ammo cards, even if they succeed in killing Adam later. They may not
leave Adam’s Stronghold until Adam is defeated.
←
← Zombie Spawning Pits
← If a Zombie Spawning Pit is contained in Adam’s stronghold, it may
not be used to spawn new Zombies until Adam is dead. Also, new Zombie
Spawning Pits may not spring up in Adam’s Stronghold until Adam dies.
←
← All board special rules and building “Pick Ups” apply
← All of the game board and building special rules apply in the scenario.
Adam counts as a zombie so he may not use these pick ups, even if he
bases his stronghold in a corresponding building. Obviously, the Eves may
not use Pick Up spots until they are rescued or successfully rescue
themselves.)
←
← Scenario Objectives
← 1) The Scenario is over in 18 rounds.
←
← 2) The Hero Player(s) win if they kill Adam and survive until the end of
the scenario. If the Hero Player(s) do not kill Adam and/or do not try to
rescue the captives they LOSE, and should be taunted mercilessly.
←
← 3) The Zombies win by preventing the Hero(s) from rescuing the Eves
or if all the Hero Characters are killed before time runs out.
←
← - Suggestion: Don’t get shot! When approaching the building, don’t
allow yourself in LOS or in range of Adam’s handgun. When you are ready to
charge the stronghold: CHARGE!
