Brief Introduction:
More than 7 years as a QC Painting Inspector. Witnessed preparation and painting procedures
on metallic structures such as pipes, platforms during various phases of fabrication and
Installation. Conversant with relevant Saudi Aramco Engineering Standards for Painting and
Coating. Practical inspection duties include selection of paint system, surface preparation,
priming, paint application, Coating of field joints. Report preparation for daily activities
including NCR.
Familiar with safety requirements and various destructive & non-destructive inspections.
Checking of atmospheric conditions (ambient temperature, steel temperature, dew point &
humidity) prior to surface preparation, priming, paint application, coating of field joints and
testing. Ensure safety equipment’s and warning signs installed at painting area and proper
work permit in hand before work being started.

• On Job Responsibilities:
• Study Contract and project specific specifications for developing Painting Procedures,
Method Statements and Work Instructions.
• Maintain the records of all the reports in the Company System and Client systems.
• Ensuring that controlled copies of all relevant codes and specifications are available at
the project and only current documents are in use, in accordance with ‘Master Lists of
Documents’.
• Also took responsibility to control storage, handling and preservation of Painting
Materials
• Participated in internal Quality Audits for evaluating operational processes are
complying with the project specifications, company procedures, international
standards, applicable codes.
• Responsible for ensuring that all process/product non-conformities are highlighted
through Corrective Action Report (CAR). to the area engineer’s as well as QA/QC
Manager for rectification and follow up.
• Piping & steel structure sand blasting & painting inspection as per ITP.
• Perform visual inspection on finished product, to check for any coating defects, holiday
inspection.
• To ensure that all activities concerning welding and painting are carried out in strict
accordance with written or agreed practices or specifications
• Witnessing all the testing activities and signed off the documents.
• Witnessing Qualification test for Blaster, Spray Painters and Stopaq applicators.
• Well familiar in handling instrument for Paint Dry Film Thickness gauge, Wet Film
Thickness gauge, Surface Profile gauge and Temperature gauge, etc.
• Conversant with relevant Saudi Aramco engineering standards for painting and
coating and other relevant international standards for painting.
• Practical inspection duties include review of scope of works, plan and drawings, review
of painting and blaster personnel, painting procedures, painting specification,
selection of painting system, review of material data sheets of paints and abrasives.
• Familiar with field safety requirement and various destructive & non-destructive
inspections.
• Responsible for all kinds of necessary inspection and documentations related with
production and quality control processes.
• Ensure all blasting, painting, coating and wrapping activities are carried out as
per the contractual requirements and specification guide lines.
• Ensuring that all the materials received comply with the requirements of the purchase order
• Keeping record of the batches detailing name of manufactures type of material, batch
number, date of manufacture and shelf life of the material.
• Conducting blotter test at the start of surface preparation and every 4 hours of the shift
• Conducting the visual and other necessary inspections of the pipes after surface preparation.
• Conducting the cello tape test to detect the dust contents on blasting surface
• Adhesion Testing.
• Documentation.
Inspection as per APCS (approved protective coating system) standard such as:
APCS-1A : Epoxy coating system for atmospheric service (with inorganic zinc
primer)
APCS-1B : Epoxy coating system for atmospheric service (with epoxy primer)
APCS-2B : Epoxy coating system for potable water immersion service (self-priming)
APCS-11C Air-Drying single component, High heat external coating for bare
APCS-120 : Field or Shop Applied internal Girth weld liquid coating for piping.
