HAPPY D WORKSHOP

SYLLABUS FOR SCHOOL YEAR 2018-2019

I. BASIC ANIMATION USING FLASH

II. COURSE DESCRIPTION

Macromedia Flash has revolutionized how simple animations are developed. It also changed how content and media are presented on a Web page. Flash has
made it possible to easily add media-rich content and interactivity to Web pages. Aside from its Web applications, Flash can also be used to create media-rich
content that can be used as an alternative to PowerPoint presentations.

The course is designed to equip the students the knowledge and skills in creating animations and presentation. It consists of lessons that will teach the students
how to create different types of animation using Flash, apply different animation techniques, and develop media-rich presentations.

III. TARGET SCOPE

Chapter 1: Introducing Flash Chapter 7: Introduction to Animation
Chapter 2: Drawing and Painting Objects Chapter 8: Introduction to Symbols

VI. FLASH PROJECTS
1. Car Race
The project requires the students to create a Flash movie that mimics a car race. The student can use different tools to create the artwork that will
represent the cars and the sceneries that will serve as the background of the race. The student may also include sounds to make the movie more
engaging.

2. School Presentation
The project requires the student to create a Flash movie that displays information about the school. The student may use the combination of text,
symbols, and photographs in developing the contents of the presentation.

3. Videoke
The project requires the students to create a movie that will play song and display its lyrics similar to popular videoke systems. The students can add
pictures as background to make the movie more interesting.

4. The Solar System

The project requires the students to create a Flash animation that simulates how each planet revolves around the sound. The projects also require
displaying basic information about the planet. The planet information will be displayed as the user moves the mouse over each planet.

5. Talasalitaan
The project requires the students to create a Flash movie that will translate an English word into Filipino. Each word will be represented by a button.
When the user moves the mouse pointer over the button, the user will hear the word in English. When the user clicks on the button the user will hear the
Filipino translation. The students should also provide navigational elements to move from one to another.
