I. Objectives
At the end of the lesson the students are expected to:
a. define the binary numbers and how it works;
b. cooperate in the activity involving the addition & subtraction of the binary
numbers.
c. understand the addition & subtraction of binary numbers

III. Procedure
A. Motivation
Introduce the game “Guess the Word” game by giving a sample.
Play the “Guess the Word “game.
Let the groups guess the word.
B. Activities
Divide the class into two groups.
Each group will follow the instruction given in the activity.
The group with the most answer is the winner
C. Abstraction
Proceed to the next lesson which is Binary Numbers.
Ask the learners about their ideas in Binary Numbers.
Discuss the Binary Numbers of Addition & Subtraction
D. Application
The teacher let the students perform the given addition & subtraction of
binary numbers.
E. Assessment
Add and subtract the following binary numbers
a. 0011010 + 001100 =?
b. 011010 – 01100 =?
c. 0101 + 11001 =?
d. 10101 – 01001 =?
e. 1100 – 0110 =?
F. Assignment
Study in advance the Multiplication & Division of Binary Numbers, p. 78
