1. Prejudice is an allegation against someone in the form of our judgment without
spoken, but only in our minds. Prejudice is almost similar to judgment but prejudice usually occurs at the beginning of the view, while judgment occurs when the person takes an action so that we judge what is done, it is right or wrong. Prejudice happened since we were young. We always do this even though we cannot do it in our religion. Usually we get prejudice due to the assumptions given by our parents regarding a matter so that whatever we see the first time we definitely do what is called prejudice. Prejudice can be both positive and negative. For a positive example, we assume that the superior class must be students who are all smart people, but actually not everything in the class is all smart people, because there must also be some who are only fortunate to occupy the class. For the negative example, if our friend gets a better test score even though he only works in playing games in class, surely we think our friends are cheating, even though our friends might study hard at home without we know.
2. Discrimination is behavior that distinguishes one another without thinking if the
behavior can make a distinguished person feel isolated. Discriminatory behavior always refers to a negative direction because it includes bad behavior. Nowadays, not many people do not discriminate, and always dominate discrimination of a race, type, skin, and even a person's characteristics. For example, what happened in the video I watched last week where Americans discriminated against a Muslim woman because the clothes she was wearing were different from theirs so that the Muslim woman felt alone because no one wanted to be friends with her. Discrimination results in staying away from someone just because he/she is different from the others.
3. Multiculturalism is a view of the diversity of tribes, cultures, even ideologies
between one nation and another without discriminating between the two and accepting the diversity. This means that multiculturalism respects each nation's cultural differences by upholding the value of togetherness so as to realize shared goals. For example, Indonesia, which consists of thousands of islands and diverse tribes and cultures, but we still respect each other and accept the culture of each region without discriminating because we all have the same goal where we want to live in harmony and peace in the life of the nation and state.
