b. Explain the emergence of social sciences
c. Identify a social problem in our community and determine which field of social sciences
could be able to help resolve the problem.

III. Procedures

Motivation: Kokology (5 minutes)


A. Activity 1 (15 minutes)
ANG BAYAN KO
1. divide students into small group of 3 members
2. ask the group to identify a common social problem which are observed recently
3. ask students to determine how social sciences could help resolve the problem
4. ask the group to write their work in a 1 whole sheet of paper
5. ask a volunteer group to share their output to the class.

1. How do you find your activity?
2. How did you identify the problem in our community?
3. How have you felt after knowing the different problems?
4. Is there a way to resolve your identified problem?
5. What’s the role of social sciences in resolving the issues you have identified?

C. Abstraction (15)

1. Define social sciences.


2. What are the different branches of social sciences?
3. What is anthropology?

D. Application (5min)

- List at least 3 fields of social sciences that you wanted to pursue and discuss why.
