Be sure to make a backup copy of files before altering them. Sollow these steps
to raise your population:
1. Find the folder: Data/Balance
2. Open the file: PlacementData
3. Find the line: abode" name="greek_abode_creche"
4. Then look 4 lines down that says: basevalue birthrate="0.06"
5. Change 0.06 to 10.00
Creature Hack
Edits a critical game file and not tested or verified. Perform software surgery at
your own risk.
To make your creature invincible, go to the directory:
...lionhead studiosBlack and White 2databalance
Click on the file creture_physio.* and open it in a text editor, like Notepad.
Search for the line value SecondsPerYear = 3600.000000.
You can change it to SecondsPerYear = 60.000000 so every minute your
creature will grow a year (you can adjust the value further if you like). You can
also scroll down to the bottom and change the lines
PainFromForce = 0.000200
DamageFromForce = 0.000100
PainFromBeingOnFire = 0.300000
DamageFromBeingOnFire = 0.001000
PainFromEachStuckObject = 0.001000
DamageFromEachStuckObject = 0.001000
PainFromStarvation = 0.000000
DamageFromStarvation = 0.000020
to have values of absolute zero (the above values are listed if you want to
change things back). Once you do that, your creature will be invulnerable,
allowing you to wreak havoc with impunity.

Change normal to infinite, and repeat in every Land file. Changes won't take
effect until you move to the next land, however. You can also do this and start a
new game.
Hack - Artifacts For Nuthin'
This can be a complicated but nifty little trick that not everyone will know.
This will not work on pre-saved games. You need to start a new game (or
mission select to reload the campaign) to get the changes you want. Plan
ahead.
Go to the game directory and find the
file GameBalanceArtefact.txt in ...dataBalance.... Back it up in case you mess
it up during the edit. Open the file using Notepad.exe. You will see the values
for everything on the tribute menu.
Look for a string similar to ARTEFACT_EPIC_WONDER_NUMBER_VOLCANO
100000 and disregard the other numbers. Change the value directly to the right
of any artefact and you will change its tribute cost in the game. Safe range of
values are 1000 (or there abouts), but be sure that the new sum value is
reflected in the total cost at the end of the file. Save it and you can start buying
stuff you only dreamt about before.
Values less than 1000 may cause your game to crash.
Shake The Jar
When the Lion's Head Studio logo apepars, you can grab the jar with your
mouse and shake it for beads.
Increase Impressiveness
Find the game folder and go to DataBalance. Open the file PlacementData.xml
in Wordpad. Go to the third paragraph, which starts <object type="abode"
name="greek_abode_c">:. Change the line <basevalue impressiveness="0.2"
/>: to <basevalue impressiveness="20" />:. Next, just load up on of your
saved games and place several villas. With this, your town will be powerfully
impressive and you will win the land you are in. This affect all of your saved
games.
Higher Population and Alignment altering
GameBalanceBuilding.txt you can edit the buildings max adult/child capacity,
what recources you need to build it, the influence ring size, and the alignment
points recieved for placing it.
on any abode building the 7th group of numbers is the max adults, 8th group is
kids, 9th is max adults with bonuses, 10th is max kids with bonuses. Now if you
set group 7 and 9 to like 20, and then set group 8 and 10 to 10, you kids will be
half the adults, and both normal, and with bonus settings will be the same, the
result will be no overcrowding. Set these numbers as high as needed for the
population amount desired.
The eleventh group of numbers on every building is the influence ring size.
Setting this number high enough on something like the greek well will allow you
to use wells to extend you influence ring out far enough you can hop across the
map to the enemy towns and cast spells from just outside their influence rings.
Haveing your town stores and town hall buildings set to 80 is a good balance
here.
Now as for alignment settings, thats the very last group of numbers. You will
notice some buildings have a positive number there and some have a negative.
The negative values are evil points recieved for placing the building, while
positive numbers are good points. Example:
GREEK_ABODE_B100,0,4,75,7,3,10,5,10,5,55,0,1,1,2,150,0.7,0.6,0.5,0,0.4,0.
005
I put commas in there so dont copy, paste it.
The example above is for the greek house. With this setting wood cost to build it
is 100 while ore is 0. I will get 10 adults out of each house placed at max
population. During the build up to max pop., each house will be able to hold 5
kids each, once reached however there will be no kids in the house, thus no
overcrowding, because the max w/bonus setting to the right is the same. I will
recieve good points for placing it rather than evil, since the last number is
positive. My influence ring size is set to 55 on this building wich is 25 less than
the ampitheaters, which has the largest, not counting the wonders.

Higher Food Production and Less FOOd need
Open the file GameBalanceResourceGeneral.txt and change the fields to the
fallowing settings.
AZTEC_FIELD8000,250,80.5,5,500,60,0,0
JAPANESE_FIELD8000,250,80.5,5,500,60,0,0
EGYPTIAN_FIELD8000,250,80.5,5,500,60,0,0
GREEK_FIELD8000,500,80.5,5,500,60,0,0
NORSE_FIELD8000,250,80.5,5,500,60,0,0
Do not copy, paste because those commas I put in there, the file dont use em.
Now your game will think your fields can feed thousands of people.
However the more people you have, and the bigger armies you have, the faster
your food vanishes, so even though a field might say it will feed 140,000 people,
it wont. At least not yet.
Next open the file GameBalanceVillager.txt
you should see lines that look something like this:
GREEK_MALE200001.81.84.51501502008256.232.2580645161291202500016
500.030.21.50.4
around the middle of the line you see three zeroes fallowed by 16, and 50. Well
the 16 is how often that villager will go between meals. Set it to 1600 and then
they will go 100 times the normal amount of time between meals. The number
50 that comes right after it, is how much food they will eat. set it to 1, but no less
as it will crash them game if its less than 1. Your platoons consume 150% so a
platoon of 20 men will now only eat 30 food instead of 1500. Now haveing
massive city populations, and massive armies is posible, without having to
worry too much about the food. Just make sure to change all lines that start with
GREEK to make this change all of your villagers. This will not affect towns you
take over as they are not populated by greek villagers. Repopulating them with
greek villagers from your starting village did not work for me, so if you want this
to work for the towns you take over, make the changes to all the villagers in all
the races.
