COURSE DESCRIPTION:

Students develop a background in music and musicianship that prepares them for a wide range of further educational and
vocational activities that include music as component.

COURSE GOALS:

At the end of the course, students are expected to;

 apply the creative process to create and perform music for a variety of purposes, using the elements and techniques of music;
 apply the critical analysis process to communicate their feelings, ideas, and understandings in response to a variety of music
and musical experiences;
 demonstrate an understanding of a variety of musical genres and styles from the past and present, and their sociocultural and
historical context.

UNIT I. INTRODUCING THE MUSIC OF LUZON

Content Standard: The learner demonstrates understanding of the musical characteristics of representative music from the lowlands
of Luzon.

Performance Standard: The learner performs music of the lowlands of Luzon with appropriate pitch, rhythm, expression, and style.

Performance Standard: The learner performs appropriately selected vocal and instrumental music of the Cordilleras, Mindoro,
Palawan, and the Visayas.

COURSE DESCRIPTION:

Through this course, students will experience detailed explorations in the classics such as painting, drawing, graphic design,
and crafts. In addition to gaining confidence and proficiency working with a variety of mediums, students will learn about the art
history, interpretation of art, art elements, principles of design and art techniques.

COURSE GOALS:

At the end of the course, the students are expected to;

 create original art by exploring a variety of materials and developing beginning skills based on design elements and
principles;
 create artwork of acceptable quality using the art techniques like drawing, colored pencil, watercolor, acrylic and collage.
