How to update BLU Studio 7.0 LTE?

To update the BLU Studio 7.0 LTE you need to install an alternate firmware (ROM).

SP Flash Tool is MediaTek's equivalent tool for low level flashing like Odin on Samsung
devices or RK Batch Tool on RockChip SoC.

What mean SPFlash Tool is a low-level flash tool

It's deeper than normal Android flashing. As a result of this operation you can backup and restore
all parts of your NAND chip, and all partitions, not just Android and kernel specific ones such
as boot, system, data, cache but also nvram, uboot, GSM radio and all other parts.

Main parts are:

 preloader.bin which is installed in the first block of your device's eMMC chip - it's
program which phone run after a cold start.
 windows driver which is host-side part needed for DL/DA protocol utilized by SP Flash
Tools.

Both are essential. If you don't have preloader.bin in your phone memory, you may have a hard
brick which is unable to revive unless use jtag or board remains dead. So, whatever you are
doing, keep in mind that you must always have preloader.bin in your phone. If you are using

Install Necessary Tools

1. Unpack SP Flash Tool.
2. Install USB Drivers depend on system use 32bit or 64bit installer.
3. Unpack downloaded firmware

Firmware Update / Change / Repair Doogee Shoot 2

1. Turn on SP Flash Tool software with admin rights.
2. Select scatter file from firmware unpacked directory.
3. Select Download only and press Download button.

5. Connect turned off the phone to usb cable without touch any keys.

6. Firmware update process should start.

7. Just wait 5-10 minutes until you see success screen then just disconnect the phone from
cable and close SP Flash Tool software.

9. That all. Congratulation you changed/ updated/repaired your Doogee Shoot 2.

The problem occurred when flashing solution:

If you got any problem with the flash phone just change in point 3 Download only to Format all
+ Download option and rest do like is written above.

SPFlash Tool Problems:

Switching off the phone completely (the phone has a built-in, non-removable battery).

1. Press and hold the power button and vol - button together and keep pressed. After 8 sec
(when the phone turns off) release the power button but keep pressed volume - for a few
seconds more, than release it. Now your phone should stay off.
2. Connect to USB and wait for charging battery few seconds then unplug USB. Now your
device is in COLD START state.

"PMT Changed" error

If you get an error like "PMT Changed" (it means that partition scheme of current ROM and new
ROM are different) make sure that the ROM is specific for your device you can use a special
version of Flashtool 3.xx that bypass this error.

BLU Studio 7.0 este o tableta de 7 inci, insa producatorii au denumit aceasta tableta „primul
smartphone din lume cu ecran de 7 inci”. Pe mine nu ma surprinde sa aud ca un producator a
lansat un telefon cu ecran de 7 inci. De fapt as spune ca este o tableta, nu un phablet si nu pot
atribui termenul de smartphone la acest terminal. Acum o sa vina si cei de la Asus sa spuna ca
PhonePad 7 este tot telefon?
BLU Studio 7.0 este un device foarte reusit la prima vedere pentru o tableta, dar o exagerare
daca am putea numi acest terminal un telefon. Da, seamana cu un telefon avand marginile foarte
mici, dar sa nu exageram. Pentru o tableta Blu Studio 7 arata foarte bine, de fapt ar fi cea mai
frumoasa tableta de 7 inci avand si modem GSM integrat.

Pentru un terminal de 7 inci, o baterie de 3000 mAh nu poate sa tina mai mult de 4 ore de
utilizare. Am fost indulgent cand am spus 4 ore, chiar daca avem un procesor bazat pe ARM
Cortex A7. La un astfel de terminal trebuia o baterie de minim 5000 mAh. Si pana la urma la ce
este buna o tableta, daca nu are autonomie. THL 5000 are 5 inci si baterie de 5000 mAh, deci
acest device este o gluma la capitolul autonomie. Pana si un telefon are o baterie mai mare decat
aceasta tableta. Cei ce vor cumpara acest terminal nu prea se vor putea folosi de el.

Procesorul care va dota acest terminal este un MediaTek MT6582 de 1,3 Ghz si chipset grafic
Mali 400 MP2. As putea spune ca acest procesor este slab, dar avand in vedere ca este un display
de 7 inci cu rezolutie 600p procesorul se va descurca excelent. Mda si acum avand in vedere ca
este o tableta de 7 inci se putea pune o rezolutie full HD. Este un device slab din toate punctele
de vedere. O rezolutie mai mica nu se putea si nu stiu cum de au ales sa puna o rezolutie atat de
slaba. Tableta arata foarte bine, dar sa pui o rezolutie de 600p la un display de 7 inci este ca si
cand ai cumpara o tableta din 2011. Ma refer ca nu este o rezolutie optima pentru un display atat
de mare. Cei de la LG cred ca s-au amuzat copios cand au vazut ce rezolutie are aceasta tableta.
Nu vrea sa zic ca este o rezolutie slaba, ci vreau sa spun ca este o rezolutie foarte slaba. Probabil
acele display-uri le-au luat cu doi dolari si au zis sa faca si ei ceva util cu ele.

Pacat de tableta pentru ca are un design reusit, functie GSM care mi se pare un plus pentru orice
tableta. Putem sa avem mereu acces la internet si fara Wifi, deci mi se pare un lucru util functia
de GSM pe tableta. Dar bateria si display-ul fac diferenta. Un ecran slab, o baterie slaba si un
pret mic. Macar pretul sa fie si el destul de bun. Tableta costa 150 de dolari, un pret destul de ok
pentru un astfel de terminal. Nu spun ca este un pret bun pentru ca am vazut si tablete sau
telefoane mult mai bune la un pret mai ok. Este drept, la o diagonala de 6 inci dar cred ca este
mult mai lejer sa ti dupa tine un device de 6 inci decat unul de 7 inci. Astfel, tableta Blu Studio
7.0 nu prea m-a impresionat avand in vedere ce hardware are. Dar design-ul este foarte bine
realizat. Practic avem o carcasa frumoasa si un hardware extrem de slab. Combinatia este buna
pentru un utilizator neexperimentat care vrea sa cumpere ceva care arata bine.

Camera foto principala are 5MP, iar cea secundara are 2MP. Pentru o tableta este suficient, dar
mi-ar fi placut sa vad ca si camera frontala are tot 5MP. O tableta nu se utilizeaza pentru a face
poze, dar este ideala pentru Skype sau alte programe de acest gen, astfel este mai recomandat sa
ai o camera frontala buna. Dar cei de la BLU au vrut sa realizeze mai mult un smartphone desi e
cam exagerat sa spun ca un telefon poate avea 7 inci. Un phablet are peste 5 inci, iar o tableta are
peste 7 inci. Dar BLU se incadreapa perfect la categoria tabletelor. Ceea ce imi place este ca are
niste margini foarte subtiri ca la telefon. Studio 7.0 se diferentiaza astfel de restul tabletelor prin
design, dar nu pot spune ca se diferentiaza si prin performanta. Nu asta s-a dorit asta cand a fost
realizata aceasta tableta. Daca se dorea chiar un device util se putea pune un procesor Qualcomm
Snapdragon 400 care are o eficienta energetica ridicata (modelul quad core cu Cortex A7) si o
baterie de 5000 mAh alaturi de un ecran full HD.
In concluzie, BLU Studio 7.0 este o tableta care nu prea merita achizitionata si spun asta pentru
ca nu are un hardware care sa impresioneze si nu vreau sa spun ca vroiam sa vad un Snapdragon
801, dar ma refer ca are un procesor destul de vechi si o rezolutie slaba. De baterie nu mai spun
nimic, 3000 mAh la 7 inci chiar si cu aceasta rezolutie este insuficienta. Poate la acest pret
tableta se va vinde destul de bine, dar nu este un best buy nici pe departe.
