Computer Parts: Similar to the Human Body
In this generation, Computer is important because it can easily access information’s, details,
data research etc. It is necessary in our daily lives because students nowadays needed computers to
pass projects, making PowerPoint presentations, documents and to lessen other paperwork’s.
Computers also helps us to easily communicate or to reach people. Computer is similar to human body
because it will not function without the important parts like CPU who is similar to brain.
The agility of a human body with a round the clock work9ing process could put super-computer
to shame. To understand a human body as Human Computer, it is necessary to break into its
components like an IT professional. Any computer is composed of two components; hardware and
software. Hardware is composed of computing parts a s well as input and output devices and off course
the peripherals. The Human-Computer also has all the components although in a different state of
matter. The hardware o a computer involves many interrelated parts. Most hardware is useless without
the connectivity to other hardware units. In order for a computer to operate and be useful to the use,
each of the necessary pieces need to be present. This is also true of the human body. All of the parts of a
computer and human body work together to help complete tasks
Starting from a head to toe: A human brain is like a computer’s processing unit (CPU). In order
for both the human body and computer to perform tasks, they need a brain or CPU. The brain and CPU
communicate with other parts of the computer. The body is rendered useless without av brain in the
same sense that a computer without a CPU is an pile of hardware unable to work together. Many people
commonly refer to the CPU as “the brain of the computer” and stop there. To continue the analogy, If
the CPU is a brain then the clock speed of the CPU tells us how smart, fast and efficient he or she is.
Cache is comparable to human short-term memory. A small amount of information is kept there for fast
retrieval, yet it is often information frequently accessed by your brain or computer. CPUs communicate
through buses, which are like the nervous system. The wider the bus and faster its speed, the easier
information flows in the same way that the nervous system provides channels for the brain to
communicate to even the most remote parts of the human body. All of these hardware parts relate to
the CPU, which is like a human brain.
If the CPUs cache is our short-term memory, then long-term memory is a computer’s hard drive.
A hard drive stores a computer’s written data and information. It is considered long-term memory
because it could not be as easily accessible as the CPU cache. The hard drive’s access tome is much like
the process we undergo when we stop and think for a few moments in attempt to remember and
reorganize our thoughts. When we access memories, the more disheveled our long-term memory, the
longer it takes to receive . If a computer’s data is highly fragmented, it may take longer for the computer
to find and retrieve information off the hard drive (the longer the access time). Defragmentation
reorganizes the placement of data written on the hard drive to make it easier to read and provide faster
access times. Defragmenting could even reduce heat generated by the hard drive.
Another part of the human body analogous to a computer part is the eye. The eye provides human
vision in the way a computer’s video card creates images to display on the monitor. Resolution results in
the clarity of images on the screen and pixels are the colored dots on the screen. Poor resolution for a
computer is much like poor vision for a human, or vision that may call for a visit to the optometrist and
glasses. Units of measurement like 20/20 vision and different aspect ratios provide more information on
the type of eye or video card we have.
Structurally: The skeletal system is a computer’ motherboard. Our skeleton holds all of our
systems and organs together. Bones give us structure and provide a place for each part of our body. A
computer’s motherboard similarly provides a location to mount much of the computer’s hardware.
Human skin is like a computer case. We have bones, organs and a need for blood flow and skin
contains each o f these in a defined area. Skin protects us form infections and serves as a line of defense
form the outside world. A computer also needs a defined area to keep and protect its hardware.
The digestive system of a human body takes food and converts it into useable energy. By
digesting, our body is provided with nutrients alongside the storage of energy to be used later. This is
why the digestive system is comparable to a computer’s RAM, or random-access memory. RAM stores
the running data and software for our computer. Oftentimes more RAM can result in a performance
boost to a lethargic computer. This is similar to the sense of hunger we feel when our body could use
the energy food provides to continue to function.
Our sweat glands are like heat sinks. Heat sinks are found mounted on CPUs and sometimes
video cards to keep the computer’s temperature from getting too hot. The human body reacts to
temperature changes by releasing sweat through glands found all over the body. The sweat then dries
on the skin to cool down the internal body temperature. Without the ability to sweat or the placement
of heat sinks, our bodies and computers would reach a temperature too high at which to operate.

Do you believe that some patients tend to abuse their rights? Why or why not?
Yes. Because other patients tried to see their medical information about his/her health which is
prohibited and against the rules and regulations of the hospital. Patient has no right to see his medical
record/chart during the confinement in the hospital. Only doctors and nurses are allowed to see their
information’s. And some patients are abusing their rights to choose their health care provider and
facility especially in government hospital. Patient are disrespectful in approaching nurses because they
think they are the one who paying the taxes and they have the rights to choose what kind of healthcare
provider and service that they want. Also, some patients are overstaying in the hospital even though
they are healed already. They just want to stay because they are free from services, homes and foods
etc. Receiving visitors and relatives even though it is not time to visit the relative is not aloud. And some
patients did not follow the medications that the doctors or staff nurses prescribed meds to be taken on
time by patient.

1. Decide how a follower of divine command Ethics would approach the ethical dilemma of
abortion.
Nowadays there has been a really tough battle of wit between baseless faith of christianity and people's
scientific approach of things. The main point of whether or not knowing what's right to do is this "where
does life actually begin?"
As followers of divine command the stand is, abortion is killing. It is strongly believed that once there
has been something conceived in the woman's body, it is indeed, life. Taking it would actually mean,
killing it.
Contrary to that, since nobody can scientifically prove when life actually begins, of course there are
people who believes that it is not alive, not until a child is born, it's not life-bearing.. not until it comes
out from the womb.
I think as a person who has faith-based stand, I will continue to possess that thinking that life of the
unborn can't be decided by another human being.
2. When can you consider an act as inhumane? Cite an example and explain your answer.
Whenever someone acts without considering the discomfort or pain of another person or
animals. You can describe their actions as inhuman. Inhuman treatment is a kind of treatment which
causes intense physical abuse or suffering. One of example of this are the abusive husbands which he
physically tortures her wife or even her daughters without a reason or maybe the man was illegally used
drugs and he is not into her mental state. There are a lot of situations like this here in the Philippines,
most women were afraid to file a lawsuit against her husband or to report it into the police because
they feared that they are going to hit them or worst than that they will hit their children. Men thinks
that they are more powerful than girls so that’s why they are abusing their rights. But women have
rights also, they are not born and raised properly, protected by their parents just to be treated like that.
So we must raised our rights in this society and fight for our equality as human.
