INTENDED LEARNING OUTCOMES

VISION
The College envisions itself as an organizational asset of the University as well as a center of excellence for criminology that is actively and continually involved in
producing globally competitive, socially responsible and morally upright graduates.

MISSION
The College aims to be a leader in criminology education in the region and the country that provides the community with graduates who can deliver efficient and
effective services in crime prevention, crime detection and investigation, law enforcement and custody and rehabilitation of offenders.

GOALS
To provide the community with globally competitive, socially responsible and morally upright graduates for the attainment of national development goals and enrichment
of the Filipino historical and cultural heritage.

OBJECTIVES
The program aims to:

1. Foster the values of leadership, integrity, and accountability among students while serving their fellowmen, community and country;
2. Prepare the students for careers in crime prevention, law enforcement, scientific crime detection and correctional administration;
3. Encourage research and inquiry on the nature, causes and treatment or punishment of criminal behavior and how criminal justice agencies respond to crime, criminals
and victims;
4. Equip students with broad cultural background and thorough knowledge and understanding of constitutional guarantees;
5. Develop their knowledge, skills, attitudes and values essential to the practice of Criminology in the fields of criminalistics, law enforcement administration, criminal
sociology, criminal law and procedure, correctional administration, ethics and community relations and defensive tactics;
6. Enhance their knowledge and understanding of crime problems including causal theories and have implications of crime statistics;
7. Equip them with scientific knowledge and skills to investigate, analyze and preserve physical evidence relating to the commission of crime as well as identify and
present the same in court;
8. Provide them with adequate proficiency and technical knowledge in the fields of Criminalistics such as: Police Photography, Dactyloscopy, Questioned Documents
Examination, Polygraphy, Ballistics, Forensic Science and Toxicology; and
9. Boost their knowledge and understanding of elements of crimes as provided under existing laws, including the impassable penalties and principles of criminal evidence.

V. Course Description:
The course covers the organizational set-up of relevant various law enforcement and public safety agencies, its legal mandate, functions and
responsibilities, and its functional relations, coordination and cooperation with other law enforcement and public safety agencies.

VI. Program Intended Learning Outcome:


At the end of the course, the students should be able to:
1. Understand the terms used in police organization and familiarize the different units within an organization.
2. Learn the theories of police service and determine its application in every law enforcement agency.
3. Familiarize with the principles applied in every organization and distinguish its application.
4. Understand the concept of police operation and differentiate the difference sub-division of police area and the operating unit of a police
station.
5. Trace the origin of policing worldwide and in the Philippines.
6. Point out the important provision of RA 6975 and RA 8551.
7. Understand and appreciate the importance of Inter-agency approach concerning different law agency in the Philippines.
