WORK METHOD STATEMENT

FOR
PRESSURE GROUTING

MACHINERY AND MAN POWER

The following machinery and manpower to be used :


1) Pressure Grout Pump - 1 no
2) Electrical Hacker - 1 no
3) Hammer - 1 no
4) Grinder - 1 no
5) Supervisor - 1
6) Skill workers - 2
7) General workers - 2

PREPARATION

1) Firstly erect scaffold where necessary especially at the higher level.


2) Check unsound concrete or week concrete at the effected structure member.
3) Hack all unsound concrete or week concrete by electrical hacker.
4) Chip the hacked area to make it roughen and to eliminate sharp edges.
5) Clean the surface to ensure free from oil, dust, grease or loose materials.
6) Then install the timber formwork with bracing and anchored securely to the concrete
surface.
7) Seal formwork gaps with rapid setting cement.
8) Install two numbers of grout ports into the formwork at one end to another.

GROUTING PROCESS

1) Connect a hose of pressure pump to the one of grout port.

2) Mix the non-shrink grout with clean water in a mixing drum using a low speed mixer for
several minutes.
3) Cement grout then shall be transfer to holding container of pressure pump.
4) Then start pumping the non-shrink grout into the formwork.
5) The formwork shall be tapping lightly to displace any air pockets.
6) The non-shrink grout will appears at the other grout port. It is a sign that the non-shrink
grout is going to be full in the formwork.
7) Proceed with the pumping for a few minutes to ensure full penetration.
8) Then lock the grout port by clipping off.
9) Remove the hose from the other grout port and lock it.
10) Allow the non-shrink grout to cure.
11) The formwork shall be removed after 24 hours.
12) The same process shall be done to the other effected structure member.
13) The surface of concrete then shall be clean.
