Business Personal Statement

STATEMENT OF PURPOSE
Creativity is what first drove me to pursue a degree in business; new business ideas fascinate me. The notion
of running a business and the risk involved in business has excited me for years. Whilst reading the book
"How They Started" by David Lester, I came across a quote from Peter Kindersley, who founded Dorling
Kindersley which stated "If you have had an idea and everyone says it's mad, that's probably the kind of idea
to pursue..." Dorling Kindersley is a hugely successful publishing company that all started with one "mad"
idea. This further encouraged me to produce a few ideas of my own.
From a young age I have demonstrated not only an interest in but also an aptitude for subject areas
applicable to the study of business and management. With good grades in GCE- A Level, I gained an
excellent grounding in the core principles of the discipline, for example, while I have also demonstrated a
strong grasp of mathematics and its financial applications in Accounting. This knowledge and experience
will ensure that I am well prepared to study the complex aspects of business at diploma level. I have also
long been interested in the communication skills necessary to provide effective management and have
worked to improve these abilities through the study of English and other subjects in social sciences.
In order to help me expand my knowledge and understanding of vocational life, I obtained a two and a half
years work experience at Harvard Academy as an Assistant Accountant and Computer Teacher starting at
November, 2017. Here I observed and assisted in the areas of accounting. I explained my enthusiasm for
Computer Science and attempted to transfer that enthusiasm to my students. My decision to study a degree
in business strengthened due to my enjoyment and success in my work experience which delivered the
essence of accounting and management in a different way.
There are plenty of reason why I want to learn in Canada. However, achieving a globally recognized quality
education in affordable tuition costs is the major one. The other factor that attracted me is the cultural
diversity as Canada has students from all over the world and studying college in the colleges in Canada
surely means studying in new environment with great variety of culture and people. By learning in Canada, I
will also have access to advanced technology and research education of Canada is one of highest quality in
unit curriculum and also it is higher valued all around the world.
Likewise, I chose Cambrian college as it offered me with the very course that I had desired and along with
after the research, I found that Cambrian college has enabled itself with cutting-edge curriculum, quality
work placements and co-op experiences with top employers. The students from Cambrian college have
graduated skills and mindset to be innovative thinkers and change makers who can transform their
workplaces and communities. I am deeply interested in business accounting as it provides the foundation in
all the functional business areas and a comprehensive education in specific accounting practices and theory.
Through a strong focus on application both in the classroom and through co-op work terms, I can develop
the skills needed for success in the business world; analytical thinking, problem solving, communication,
organizing, managing and teamwork.
After studying in Cambrian and receiving my degree, I would like to volunteer to work for a Nepalese non-
profit organization. Then after gaining business knowledge and most importantly business experience, I will
enter the exciting corporate world in Nepal. In the long-run, I envision for myself a career straddling the
highest levels of business as a corporate leader. My ultimate career aspiration is to become a successful
executive in an international company playing a leadership role. As a reputed businessman, I would be
employed by a specific company, one in which would be in the need for an individual with business skills.
Chances are I would frequently travel between countries, and conduct business with officials of the foreign
country in which we are doing business I am confident that my determination, perseverance and tenacity
will lead me to the successful achievement of this personal vision.
To materialize these goals, I believe I have adequate financial ability to put forth the academic expedition in
Canada. My parents for instance have revealed fixed properties worth CAD 212081.75. Similarly, my
sponsors are earning an aggregate amount of CAD 26,826.07, and do have a bank balance sufficient to look
after unexpected hurdles. In my application, my sponsor my mother’s bank balance in Nabil Bank where
transaction of a large amount CAD 33,336.32 for one day was deposited by selling the land of my mother
and have attached the verified documents with this application. Thus, I believe I won't be set aback by
financial barriers on my quest to pursue an efficient degree from Canada.
I am confident Cambrian College is a great place to further my education and set my targets for the future. I
believe I will be able to fulfil many of my aims as a Cambrian's student, and I hope to be a good ambassador
for Cambrian and Canada as a whole. I would be eagerly waiting for your approval to this visa request.
