411.1 - Examples of trivial names for hydroxy and alkoxy carboxylic acids and for the
corresponding acyl radicals are given in Table VII. The numbering of aliphatic hydroxy,
alkoxy, and oxo acids is made so as to give the number 1 to a carboxyl group and the
lowest possible locants to hydroxy, alkoxy, oxo and other groups [see Rule C-15.11(d)].
