VISION:
The vision of civil engineering department strives to become a nationally and internationally leading institution of higher learning, to
graduate highly qualified engineers, maintain nationally recognized research to provide quality professional and community service to the region
and the world.
MISSION:
The mission of civil engineering department is to provide quality education to prepare nationally competitive students for a successful
career in civil engineering; to provide advanced skills, knowledge in state of art of research and design in sub areas of civil engineering for
graduate students; to inculcate moral and ethical values among the students; to provide service to the engineering profession and public; and to
have regular interaction with industry and offer solutions to their problems.
ProgrammeOutcomes
A Apply knowledge of mathematics, science and basic engineering and core civil engineering to the delineate and functional
engineering structures.
B Design the civil engineering structures / component / process to meet desired needs with appropriate consideration for the public
health and safety, cultural, societal, sustainability and environmental considerations.
C Use all surveying equipments and carry out the surveying works related to all civil engineering projects.
A basic level competency in specialized areas of civil engineering such as environmental; hydraulics and hydrology; structures;

E Identify, formulate, analyze and solve civil engineering problems using advanced tools.
F Understand the knowledge of civil engineering practice codes and norms related to the profession.
