LEARNING EPISODE 4 - Tools of The Trade (Teaching Aids Bank)
Objectives:
1. Are there learning resources useful for your topic in the resource center you visited?
2. Are the available materials appropriate for your target grade/year level?
3. List down those that can be useful for your topic.
4. What other materials can you make? (Like flashcards, posters, cut-outs, transparencies, etc)?
OBSERVATION NOTES
There are lot of learning resources available in the school to sustain the need of discussing the
topic. Books are the most prominent resources but the internet is widely and broad in giving
ideas. And students always use internet as their primary resources.
In teaching the Probability and Non Probability Sampling, you’ll be needing printed materials
like handouts and books because it contains a lot of information and it will consume time if you
are just going to write it on the board. By doing so, you can save time and probably finish the
topic on time.
We can make use of the following:
Visual aids
Pasting materials

My Analysis
What skills did you have which helped you prepare the materials? What skills did you lack that
made it difficult for you? (Technological knowledge)
1. Discuss some strategies on how you will use the materials you included here in this episode.
(Pedagogical Knowledge)
As a future teacher, you should know how to assess your students very well to know if their
strength and weakness in acquiring knowledge.
2. How well do you know the topic you have chosen? (Content Knowledge) Discuss the big ideas of
this topic that you would want to focus on.
The first thing you must do is to review everything and make sure you are familiar with it.
Probability and Non Probability Sampling is a very helpful strategy in getting an outcome in a population. You
don’t need to suffer doing your calculations because there are easy ways on how to do it. And I am going to
focus on teaching how to do it to the students.
My Reflections/Insights
1. Reflect how your technological knowledge (TK), pedagogical knowledge (PK), and content
knowledge (CK) worked together in fulfilling the tasks in this episode.
My technological knowledge can help in catching the students’ attention and helped me a lot in
doing presentations just like PowerPoint and it can really save time and I can easily teach the
students more interestingly. My pedagogical knowledge can help me on how can I assess my
students very well and to know their strength and weaknesses in teaching and learning process. M
Content Knowledge help me to discuss the topic very well and to give the students the total
package of what they must learn.
To enhance TPACK, I will let and enhance my students to use technologies to widen their
knowledge about it. And to make it more interesting, I will let them do activities that involves the
use of technologies and assess them in doing so. I will also teach them how to use it properly and
in a good way and what are the good outcomes of it.
