Educational Requirement
Work Experience:
• Minimum work experience of ABOVE 15 years of plant equipment inspection in a Petrochemical, Oil &
Gas plant. At least 3 to 4 years of this experience shall be after the date of API certification.
• Working experience & good knowledge in piping fabrication, metallurgy and welding.
• Good work experience & inspection knowledge of Columns, exchangers, vessels, tanks etc.
• Shall be able to read, understand and draw sketches/ drawings, engineering drawings, isometrics,
PID’s to show inspection findings and also familiar with the use of applicable codes and standards, e.g.
API, ASTM, ASNT, ASME, NACE AWS etc.

Job Description:
• Review previous inspection history, job packs, drawings, specifications, inspection plans and repair
plans prior to inspection of equipment.
• Carry out inspection of equipment in accordance with the specified plans and RLOC inspection
procedures.
• Assess equipment condition and report with repair recommendation based on code and RLOC
procedural requirements.
• Coordinate with the NDT coordinator and NDT technicians to get the NDT done.
• Coordinate with coating inspector, coating contractor to get the coating done as per plan and
recommendation.
• Coordinate with refractory inspector and refractory contractor to get the refractory job done as per
plan and recommendations.
• Review the NDT reports and findings and field verify as necessary.
• Witness and certify the equipment pressure test, repairs and certify the equipment for its indented
operation.
• Shall be capable of making decisions on repairs as per code requirements and handle NDT Techs
working under him and able to guide them during the inspection activities.
