    LATHE ACCESSORIES:

    1.Drive plate:It has slots into which job can be mounted using bolts or tail of a lathe dog is
    fitted.

    2.Face plate: Much larger then a drive plate and has more slots.

    3.Lathe dogs: They are clamed on workpieces to drive them when turning between centers.

    4.Milling attachment:It is used on the lathe for fach milling,milling dove,cutting


    keyways,slots etc.

    5.Steady rest:To support long work during turning,boring,threading,operation.YThe steady


    rest is clamped to the lathes bed ways.

    6.Follower rest:Clamps to the saddle of the carriage and moves along with it.It is used to
    prevent a workpiece from sprining away from cutting tool.

    7.Mandrel: A mandrel is a shaft,bar or tube used for holding a workpiece to be machined.
