    My presentation this morning is divided into three parts.
    1. WHO IS TIM HORTON?
    2. WHAT HE DID, AND
    3. WHY IS TIM HORTON IMPORTANT FOR CANADA?

    First, Who is Tim Horton?


    Well, Tim Horton is not only founded a Coffee & bake shop, but also is a famous Canadian.
    Tim Horton born on January 12th, 1930 in Cochrane, Ontario, Canada. His real name was Miles
    Gilbert Horton. He was a professional ice hockey defenseman.
    The family moved in 1935 to Duparquet, Quebec, returning to Ontario in 1938 to Cochrane; the
    family moved to Sudbury in 1945.
    He moved to Toronto to play junior hockey and attended St. Michael's College School.
    Development Finally, Horton was killed after losing control of his De Tomaso Pantera sports car on the Queen
    Elizabeth Way in St. Catharines, Ontario, in the early morning of February 21, 1974.

    Second, WHAT HE DID?

    Horton played 24 seasons in the National Hockey League (NHL). He played for the Toronto
    Maple Leafs, New York Rangers, Pittsburgh Penguins, and Buffalo Sabres. His first signed was
    with the Toronto Maple Leafs in 1948; then, he was two season with the Pittsburgh Hornets of
    the American Hockey League.
    Two years later, he turned pro with the Toronto Maple Leafs' farm team until 1970.

    He was named an NHL First Team All-Star three times: (1964, 1968, and 1969). He was selected
    to the NHL Second Team three times: (1954, 1963, 1967).

    In 1964 he opened a donut shop in Hamilton, Ontario.

    Finally, WHY IS TIM HORTON IMPORTANT FOR CANADA?


    Tim Horton is important for Canada, because he not only won three times to the NHL, but also
    He cofounded a popular franchise. It has increased employment. Now, Tim hortons has more
    than 3500 restaurant in Canada and the United States.

    In conclusion, Tim was a famous Canadian that helping the Toronto Maple Leafs win four
    Conclusion Stanley Cups (1962–64, 1967), and who founded the popular North American restaurant
    franchise Tim Horton’s. He taught “If we keep winning, our destiny is in our own hands” .
