Overview
Highly accomplished and credentialed test pilot, with extensive experience as the Supervisor of
Flying Operations, Training Pilot, and Safety Management System (SMS) Supervisor at the National
Research Council (NRC) Flight Research Laboratory. Previously employed as a military pilot with the
Royal Canadian Air Force, including Chief of Plans and Support and E-3A Aircraft Commander for
NATO AWACS during the Bosnia conflict. Expertise in the supervision of complex military and civilian
flying operations and program management.

Provided oversight and safety analysis of Enroute, Oceanic and Terminal Control Centres. Conducted
audits and advised Director, Operational Safety and Analysis on issues concerning safety for Area
Control Centres across the country. Primary goal was to align NAV CANADA SMS with recently
revised ICAO SMS guidelines.

1st 100% biofuel flight on commercial jet aircraft.
• Earned NRC Outstanding Achievement Award for successful completion of Aircraft Icing
Research Study, including adoption of flexible, co-operative operational practices, and
collaboration with 20+ outside agencies.
• Secured NRC Outstanding Achievement Award in recognition of ingenuity and foresight in
developing a novel solution to a Transport Canada airworthiness directive that grounded the
entire Canadian Harvard fleet.
• Accepted NRC Achievement Award for Outstanding Singular Achievement for exceptional
teamwork and innovation in the successful completion of a major project the Networked
Underwater Warfare Exercise for DRDC-Atlantic.
