Service and result oriented professional social worker seeking a position with an organization
where I can integrate my knowledge, skills and experience to promote its mandate in human
service.
WORK EXPERIENCE

• Answered incoming telephone inquiries and switchboard calls and respond to requests
for information received by e-mail, SMS or voice mail.
• accurately collected and recorded client information, and where necessary, complete
timely referrals to either internal or external service points using agreed means of
information transmission
• received and respond to inquiries across Kenya, and act as the initial point of
assessment for eligibility
• Provided advice and assistance to clients in the most appropriate format to meet their
needs.
• Received and processed follow up information about previous requests and reports and
to update systems as appropriate.

• Kept the management informed by submitting activity and results reports, such as daily

• Provided phone guidance and counseling on alcohol and substance abuse as well as
referring them to the rehabilitation centers depending on the level of addiction.
• Carried out field counseling and distributing of IEC materials on activities such as
roadshows and Agricultural Shows from time to time as organized by the organization.
• Reporting to the organization on the new drug in the market as well as researching on
the possible effects of the drug on the users as well as the names used to refer to the
drug.
• Carried out face to face office counseling to the referrals for instance students using
drugs being referred to the organization for counseling.
• Prepared recommendation letters for clients at the end of counseling sessions and
presented them to the administration for approval and stamping.

• Informing voters on their voting stations and voting time i.e. opening tie and closing
time for voting
• reported to the administration through the county returning officer about the voter
registration turnout

Achievements
• I managed to redeem several youths from the drug and alcohol abuse through my
persistent counselling and follow ups.
• Quite a number of my research reports on drugs were used by the organization to
gauge their services generally enabling them to identify areas that need more effort in
achieving their vision of attaining a drug free nation.
