    Essay marking scheme:
    Candidates’ essays are evaluated based on the following criteria:
     Content (0.6 point): Relevant content with adequately supported arguments (with main
    ideas, details, examples etc.).
     Presentation (0.6 point): Write with suitable style, cohesion, coherence; appropriate word
    count.
     Language (0.4 point): Demonstrate a diverse range of lexical items and grammatical
    structures.
     Punctuation, spelling and handwriting (0.4 point): Good punctuation and no spelling
    mistakes; legible handwriting.
