Section 1 GRAPHICS CONFIGURATION

Graphics is the most important supervising operation interface in the
SUPCON WebField series control systems, used to display the overall flow
and working status of the controlled equipments, and operate the related
data parameters. Therefore, the graphics should have stronger functions
for graphic display (Including static and dynamic) and data processing.

The graphics configuration software ScDrawEx is one of the important

components in the software package for the Supcon WebField series
control systems, which provides user with a preparation environment for
graphics with the complete functions and simple use.

The graphics file completed should be saved in the Flow sub-folder under
the system configuration folder, like: D:\Boiler control (System configuration
folder)\Flow\*.dsg.

It is recommended that use the graphics configuration software while

reading this manual. If being able to practically complete a graphics that
can be operated in the AdvanTrol monitoring software after compiled in the
SCKey (System Configuration Software), it will more accelerate the
learning progress.

1.1 OVERVIEW

In the tool column on the system configuration interface, click the icon

to enter into the “Operation station setting” interface, and then click

Figure 1-88 Run and simulate setting

Step length means the range increased of the tag value within each time
interval of refurbishing the picture, and the refurbishing speed of the picture
means the fastness of the step-length movement. When the speed is
relatively high, the time of the tag value increasing from the lower limit to
the upper limit is relatively short.

1.12 APPLICATION

Sample 1: Draw a buffer tank, shown as Figure 1-89.

Figure 1-89 Disassembly picture of a buffer tank

Buffer tank is comprised of five components: One right-angle rectangle, tow

round corner rectangles pulled into line form and two ellipses, and each
diagram is set up with transition filling whose transition step is 4 in vertical
direction. When assembled together, pay attention of the superposing
relationship between various diagrams. The side frame color is black, and

64
Graphics Configuration Software

inside is white. When assembling several diagrams, you can fully make use
of the Filling toolbar and the Adjustment toolbar in the bottom of the
interface to have the operations like coloring, matching and equal width, etc,
to reach the relatively good effects. Shown as the above picture, you can
firstly roughly place all the components into the buffer tank shape, and then
select all the components to have the operations of Matching in vertical,
horizontal and central directions .

Sample 2: Draw a smelting & coagulating tank, shown as Figure 1-90.

Figure 1-90 Assembly picture of a smelting & coagulating tank

A smelting & coagulating tank is comprised of seven components: Three

right-angle rectangles, two round corner rectangles pulled into line form and
two polygons, and each diagram is set up with transition filling whose
transition step is 4 in vertical direction. In the picture, two equal-waist
trapeziums can be matched with the grids displayed, to be drawn more
accurately.

Sample 3: Draw a pump, shown as Figure 1-91:

Figure 1-91 Assembly picture of a pump

The pump is comprised of eight components: Four rectangles, three circles

65
Graphics Configuration Software

pulled from ellipses, and a straight line. The frame color is green, and inside
is black. Use the Aligning in vertical direction and Aligning in central
direction buttons to match two under-pans. Three circles can also be
placed with the Aligning in vertical direction and Aligning in horizontal
direction buttons.

Sample 4: Draw a valve, shown as Figure 1-92:

Figure 1-92 Assembly picture of a valve

A valve is comprised of five components: Two rectangles, one ellipse and

two sectors. Two sectors can be copied, and when drawing, have the
operation of editing terminal point for the sectors, and the angles can be
roughly determined with the grids on the canvas. The sectors and one of
the right-angle rectangles are set up with the gradual color change in
horizontal and vertical direction respectively.

Notes: The operation of editing terminal points for the sectors must
be completed before rotating, and after rotating, the function of
editing terminal point for the diagram object will be invalid.

Sample 5: Draw a cool water tower, shown as Figure 1-93:

66
Graphics Configuration Software

Figure 1-93 Assembly picture of a cool water tower

A cool water tower is comprised of 14 components: Eight rectangles, four

round corner rectangles, one folded-line diagram and a polygon
(Equal-waist trapezia). When drawing, use the Copy function as many
as possible for the symmetric diagram. When drawing the fold-line diagram,
it does not need to be very accurate, and when superposed, pay attention
to display in a following level (Adjustment toolbar).

Sample 6: Cartoon preparation, shown as the figure.

Figure 1-94 Real-time monitor operating interface

For the drawing method of various components, please refer to the

introduction in Sample 1. The front level on a material supply tank is a
polygon diagram object, and is set up with the Proportional filling
dynamic property, with the filling direction downwards (To display the
reducing process of the material), and note: The maximum value of the tag
of proportional filling should be smaller than the upper limit value (The fluid
level displayed in the polygon is not the bottom of the material supply tank).

67
Graphics Configuration Software

The material flow under the technique barrel is set up with the dynamic
property of Zoom-in/out and Display/hide , and when the tag
(Assuming to be changed between 0 to 100) is between 0-30m,
Zoom-in/out should be set up, to display the process that the material flow
gradually go downwards, and when it is between 30-90, keep it static, and
when the tag reaches 90, the Proportional filling (The starting tag value
of proportional filling is 30) of the material reception trolley reaches 90%,
and at this moment, the material reception trolley begins to move to the left
in horizontal direction, and the property displayed for the material flow is
Invisible . When the tag value circulates to 0, the dynamic process will be
repeated. In the whole process, the impellers of the pump always keep
rotating (No circle center excursion set up).

Notes: When setting the dynamic property, the simulated tags of

different property can be used as needed (To set by yourself with
Check/Picture property/Simulated position number). Such as the
above picture, the step length of the tag used for rotating the
impellers can be increased, so to make the rotating acceleration big (If
the step length is too big, it will lose the rotating effects). The
Zoom-in/out property tag in the material flow can also properly
increase the step length according to the display effects.
