Introductory Message
For the facilitator:
Welcome to Electronic Product Assembly and Servicing 11 Alternative
Delivery Mode (ADM) Module on Assembling Electronic Products!
This module will serve as the learner’s path to discovering the WHAT and HOW
of preparing pastry products.

This module was collaboratively designed, developed and reviewed by educators

both from public and private institutions to assist you, the teacher or facilitator in
helping the learners meet the standards set by the K to 12 Curriculum while
overcoming their personal, social, and economic constraints in schooling.

This learning resource hopes to engage the learners into guided and
independent learning activities at their own pace and time. Furthermore, this also
aims to help learners acquire the needed 21st century skills while taking into
consideration their needs and circumstances.

In addition to the material in the main text, you will also see this box in the
body of the module:

Notes to the Teacher

This contains helpful tips or strategies that
will help you in guiding the learners.

As a facilitator you are expected to orient the learners on how to use this
module. You also need to keep track of the learners' progress while allowing them to
manage their own learning. Furthermore, you are expected to encourage and assist
the learners as they do the tasks included in the module.

For the learner:

Welcome to Electronic Product Assembly and Servicing 11 Alternative Delivery Mode

(ADM) Module on Performing Mensuration and Calculation (PMC)
!
Welcome to this module in Performing Mensuration and Calculation (PMC).
This module was designed to teach you how perform mensuration and calculation
specifically in the training regulation and curriculum guide.

This module was designed to provide you with fun and meaningful
opportunities for guided and independent learning at your own pace and time. You will
be enabled to process the contents of the learning resource while being an active
learner.
The following are some reminders in using this module:

1. Use the module with care. Do not put unnecessary mark/s on any part of the
module. Use a separate sheet of paper in answering the exercises.
2. Don’t forget to answer What I Know before moving on to the other activities
included in the module.
3. Read the instruction carefully before doing each task.
4. Observe honesty and integrity in doing the tasks and checking your answers.
5. Finish the task at hand before proceeding to the next.
6. Return this module to your teacher/facilitator once you are through with it.
If you encounter any difficulty in answering the tasks in this module, do not
hesitate to consult your teacher or facilitator. Always bear in mind that you are not
alone.

What I Need to Know

Welcome to the course of electronic product assembly and servicing! The module
contains one lesson, namely:

 Terminating And Connecting Electrical Wiring And Electronic Circuits

(TCEC)

And this common competency mentioned above is directed to the attainment of4
learning outcomes namely:
LO1. Plan and prepare for termination/connection of electrical
wiring/electronics circuits
LO2. Terminate/connect electrical wiring/electronic circuits
LO3. Test termination/connections of electrical wiring/electronics
circuits

After going through this module, you are expected to:

1. Select appropriate technical drawing according to job requirements Obtain
correct specifications from relevant source
2. Recognize components, assemblies, or objects
3. Identify electrical/electronic schematic symbols correctly
4. Undertake care and maintenance of drawings in accordance with company
procedures
5.

DEFINITION OF TERMS
Side Cutter Pliers – used for cutting or trimming of connecting wires or terminal
leads in the circuit board
Long nose pliers – used for holding, bending and stretching the lead of electronic
component or connecting wire.
Soldering pencil – used to join two or more metal conductors with the support of
soldering lead melted around it.
Multitester – instrument used to measure voltage, current and resistance.
Resistor – a device designed intentionally to have a definite amount of resistance.
Capacitor – a device that stores electrical energy.
Termination – the point where a line, channel or circuit ends.
OHS – occupational health and safety

LO1: Plan and prepare for

termination/connection of electrical
wiring/electronics circuits
A. Common Tools

Long nose pliers- is used for holding,

bending and stretching the lead of
electronics component or connecting wire

Side cutter pliers- is used for cutting or

trimming of connecting wires or terminal
leads in the circuit board

Flat screw driver- is used to drive or fasten

negative slotted screws.

Philips screw driver- is used to drive or

fasten positive slotted screws.

Soldering pencil- is used to join two or

more metal conductors with the support of
soldering lead around it.
Desoldering tools- is used to unsolder
unwanted parts or component in the
circuit with the support of soldering
pencil.

B. Basic Electronic Equipment

Multi-volts Power Supply – is used to

supply the desired direct current
voltages in the circuit.

Multitester – is used for measuring

current, resistance and voltage.

Portable Electric Hand drill – use for

boring holes in the plastic chassis or
metal chassis.
