Term paper 3:

No, because political dynasties can wield influence, amass economic

resources, and use their political machinery to take advantage of business
possibilities because of their elected positions. These chances could come in the
form of lucrative government contracts or power brokering arrangements.
Political dynasties have an unfair edge in generating riches, whether overtly or
covertly. These wealthy families should be rejected because they aim to
monopolize politics and control the economy. It entrenches economic disparities
and maintains a culture of dependency between the rich and the poor. It is
unsurprising that the provinces with the longest-standing political dynasties are
also the poorest. They are absolutely opposed to democracy and free enterprise.
They put an end to the hopes of qualified new candidates who lack the financial
and logistical resources to run a successful campaign. Most members of political
dynasties should be denounced since they have no basic regard for the rights of
others to advance in the political, social, or economic strata.

I could say their capabilities, morals, and devotion to duty rarely increase
from generation to generation, particularly in powerful families that enjoy
comfort and privilege. Most of the time, the second generation merely follows in
the footsteps of the first. Due to inbreeding of managerial practices, new ideas
are inhibited, while negative behaviors are amplified.

According to the 1987 constitution, Article II, Sec. 26 it is very clear in its
intent. It says, “the state shall guarantee equal access to opportunities for public
service and prohibit political dynasties as may be defined by law.” The state must
maintain honesty and integrity in the public sector, as well as conduct proactive
and effective anti-graft and anti-corruption actions.
