Risks Associated with Using the Lamp

v
Every person who is in charge of the installation, use and maintenance of the LED light

r
machine operation lamp without transformer must carefully read this manual and, particularly,
this section on safety in order to be fully educated on the equipment.

f e
2.1 Precautions with regard to electric shocks

Risks associated with electric shocks

 Check that the power cable is disconnected before touching parts of the device where
voltage is present.
 Touching these parts without disconnecting the power supply may cause an electric
shock.
 Make sure that the power supply used meets the requirements for voltage and
frequency required by the device (shown on the identification plate).
 The use of different types of power supplies may cause an electric shock, as well as fire
or damage to the device.
 DO NOT spray or pour water on the unit, this may cause an electric shock.
 Using the device while disassembled may cause an electric shock.
 Regrading the repair of the equipment contact Technical Support.

 DO NOT install the unit in locations subject to high and/or low temperatures (this may
damage the LED lamp).

o
2.3 Precautions regarding cleaning

c
Risks associated with cleaning

.i
 Plastic materials are used in some parts of the spotlight. Applying organic solvents
(such as benzene), or other chemicals for cleaning may cause deformation or
discolouration.
 Clean the device gently, using a soft dry cloth.

3 DESCRIPTION OF THE SPOTLIGHT AND INTENDED

USE
The LED light machine operation lamp w.o. transformer (Art. 0372) is a heavy-duty,
securable and adjustable lighting fixture. It is a device designed to illuminate within and near
stationary machine tools, to allow safe use of the machines themselves, in industrial plants or
similar environments.
The lighting device is made up of the following parts (see Figure 1):

m
1) the aluminium cover, which contains the lighting device (LED lamp and light socket);
2) the protective glass screen in the front of the spherical shell;
3) support system for the device (articulating arm and pedestal).

5 IMPROPER USES AND PRECAUTIONS
The following actions described, which obviously can not cover the entire range of potential

v
possibilities of "misuse" of the equipment, are to be considered strictly prohibited.

r
IT IS STRICTLY FORBIDDEN TO:
 Install the unit on surfaces with insufficient strength to support its weight;

e
 Incorrectly install the device on the machine tool and without following the detailed
instructions provided, which could result in tipping or falling during use;

f
 Allow the appliance to be used by insufficiently trained personnel and those who have
not read the instruction manual;
 Use the device in locations subject to high and/or low temperatures;
 Use the device in potentially explosive atmospheres;
 Replace the bulbs, as well as perform inspections and maintenance on the internal
parts of the device without checking that the switch is in "0" position and that the
power cord is disconnected;
 Modify and/or tamper with the equipment's parts, wiring and circuits.
 Power the device with parameters different from those required and recommended;
 Throw water onto the device and/or touch it with wet hands.

6 TRANSPORTATION AND MOVING

Lifting the equipment for transportation, can be done manually, by the operator. The
relatively low weight of the lamp allows it to be moved manually and safely without the
danger of injury to the operator. The operator must hold the device with both hands when
lifting and moving it.

m
7 INSTRUCTIONS FOR REMOVING THE PACKAGING
The lamp is supplied in a cardboard box. Before disposing of the shipping carton, check you

o
do not to throw away parts of the machine, the instruction "sheets" or other documentation.

c
Standard packaging

.i

8 COMMISSIONING

8.1 Powering on/Connecting the Device

To power the device, you must have an appropriate power cable that
takes voltage (24 V AC) from the machine tool itself.
Characteristics of the power cord: 2 X  0.75 mm2.
For proper connection of the power cord use insulated terminals:

c
Connection

.i
Check that the cables are properly connected. In the event of connection difficulties contact
an electrician.

8.2 Installation

v
Install the lamp on the structure and/or on the frame of the machine tool, near the area that
is to be illuminated, using bolts and nuts to clamp it into place. To do this, drill four holes on

r
the machine (if not already present) arranged on the vertices of a square with 60 mm sides.
Insert the bolts into the holes on the pedestal and the ones on the machine, respectively, and
tighten the nuts to ensure that they are strong and securely fastened.

The lights must be mounted in order to:

 Provide the illumination required in the work area for moving parts;
 Do not allow the lamp to interfere with the duties of the operator or blind the operator;
 Minimize the accumulation of dirt on the lamps and spotlights;
 Facilitate maintenance.
