Bush Pilot

a.m. Max’s company has a funny name. He calls it “Piecycle.”

A Dangerous Job
Chris Hansen works in Alaska in the winter. He has a job on a crab boat. He fishes for crabs
in October and January. Chris and the other fishermen drop heavy crab pots in the ocean and pull
them back onto the boat a day later. Chris doesn't like his job. It is verydangerous on the ocean.
Even in bad weather, the work doesn't stop. The days be very short in the winter. The sun doesn't
rise in about 10:00 a.m., and it goes down at around 4:00 p.m. Chris’s mother worries about him.
She says, “Be careful, Chris! Don’t fall off the boat!” He says, “Don't worry, Mom!”
