1. Describe the concept of Advocacy, Communication and Social Mobilization using a concept map
illustrating the relationship among the three.
According to the publication of World Health Organization, 2008. ACSM is utilitized to decrease the
cases of TB, to combat the discrimination experienced by the affected, to empower them, mobilize
political supports, secure resources for TB control and Integrate social and behavioral change for long-
term TB control and prevention.
ACSM consists of three distinct sets of activities, all with the common goal of bringing about behavioral
change. The target audience is one of the most significant differences between them.
Advocacy. Advocacy aims to keep national governments firmly committed to implementing TB control
policies. Advocacy is frequently focused on persuading policymakers, funders, and international
decision-making bodies.
1. Policy Advocacy

2. Programme Advocacy

2. Analyze the DOHS Sabayang oClock Habit para Deng-get Qut using the concept of advocacy,
communcanon, and social mobilization
The data from the Department of Health revealed that there were 146,062 dengue cases and 622 deaths
between January 1 and July 20, 2019. Which is why dengue is regarded to be one of the perilous dangers
and reason why there's much casualties within the Philippines. To address this matter, DOH with
Secretary Francis Duque ll and other local governments launched the 4-o'clock anti-dengue campaign,
which have been running smoothly by utilizing the concept of the Advocacy, Communication and Social
Mobilization (ACSM).
Advocacy
• Carrying out open mindfulness about the campaign through different media outlets such as news,
radio teievision, etc.
• Adhere to the declared national dengue epidemic joint press conference at Camp
Aguinaldo with officials of the Department of National Defense, Department of Science
and Technology, and the Department of the Interior and Local Government
Communication
• Raising awareness and encouraging the general public to search for and exterminate all dengue
nesting sites at 4 p.m. every day, as mosquitos are active at that time.
• Influence the people to have a change of behavior and attitude towards the risk of Dengue
• The 4S campaign which stands for "Search and Destroy" mosquito breeding sites, "Secure Self
Protection" from mosquito bites, "Seek Early Consultation" when signs and symptoms of
dengue appear, and "Say Yes to Fogging" as a last resort if an outbreak is imminent.

Social Mobilization
• Collaboration of efforts to support citizens, because the "4-o'clock habit" encourages communities to
take time each day at 4 p.m. to weed out dengue breeding sites. Cleaning before evening is critical for
lowering the risk of dengue because mosquitos that carry the disease are most active at dusk.
• Expanding the campaign's scope by persuading additional local communities to join the campaign and
apply it to a specific region.
•Aksyon Barangay Kontra Dengue (ABKD), which calls for regular weekly clean-up drives in barangays
with the help of local volunteers.
