    Voyager Academy High School Choral Arts & Instrumental Recent Choral Awards
    Programs have a long-standing tradition of excellence in & Accomplishments:
    performing, both on the stage as well as off. The 1st place: NCASA State Show Choir
    opportunity to experience the thrill of performance is Competition (2015, 2016, 2019)

    something that the students will remember all of their lives. Superior rating in Large
    Choir Performance & Sight
    “Bull City Lights” is an advanced, award-winning Show
    Reading: NCMEA MPA-Meredith
    Choir & Concert Choir and “Vocal Affinity” is an All-Girls College (2019)
    Show Choir & Concert Choir. Both are accompanied by 1st place: Show Choir Division –
    “Bull City Sound” Voyager’s all-student band. Carowinds (2019) & Busch Gardens-
    Williamsburg (2018)

    1st place: Concert Choir Division &


    In the Spring of 2020, both choirs & the band will be competing
    Superior Rating: Carowinds (2019)
    in multiple competitions! Our funding from the school helps
    Finalist & Overall 3rd runner
    cover some of our costs but it does not cover everything that we up: Fairfield Crystal Classic in Ohio
    need to perform and maintain our music program. Students are (2019)
    responsible for all other expenses related to competing at this

    level: costumes, hotel, meals, travel, lodging, etc. In addition, Classic (Virginia), Fairfield Crystal
    we have group expenses that include choreographer fees, props, Classic (Ohio) & Carowinds (2019)
    music, chaperones, licensing & arranging fees, etc. Best Costumes & Best
    Performer: Fairfield Crystal
    We are seeking sponsors to help offset 
 Classic (2019)
    the competition related expenses for 80+ 3rd runner up: Open Division
    deserving music students. Show Choir & Concert Choir – Heart
    of America-Orlando (2018)
    The funds raised through sponsorship will cover trip related
    1st runner up: Open Division
    expenses for the students and directly help each student to pay Show Choir - Heart of America-
    for their planned trips in North Carolina, Virginia, West Virginia Nashville (2017)

    and Ohio next Spring. Any donation is greatly appreciated and a
    2nd runner up: Concert Choir
    tax deductible receipt will be issued to each generous donor
    Division – Heart of America-
    upon request. Nashville (2017)

    ***NEW THIS YEAR*** In March, 2020 we will be hosting the first annual “Bull City Blast” — Durham’s
    first show choir & concert choir competition. We anticipate hosting multiple schools from Durham &
    surrounding states! As a 2019-20 Choral Arts sponsor, you will be given first choice of sponsoring
    trophies & awards for this exciting event. We will contact you later this Fall about becoming a trophy
    sponsor & advertising at Bull City Blast for just the added cost of a trophy! STAYED TUNED!
