DISCUSSIONS
Minutes of the School Heads’ Meeting
The meeting opened with a brief checking session of each school’s vaccination status, after which, the
meeting proper immediately followed.
Among the topics discussed and noted during the course of the meeting include the following:
1. School heads were provided with CoVid-related updates and were informed of the 6-month
period before taking the booster shot. All SHs were likewise reminded to advise their constituents
to get vaccinated as health and safety serves as the top priority in the field.
2. Appointment of the new district officers was held: List of the newly-appointed district coordinators
and officers is as follows:
- President: Dr. Gemma De Torres

- Vice President: Ma’am Fe Astillero
- Secretary: Dr. Evelyn Delos Reyes
- Treasurer: Dr. Maricel Culla
- Auditor: Dr. Eleneth Escalona
- Project Manager: Ma’am Roanne Mendoza
- Public Information Officer: Ma’am Marites Tarcelo
- Property: Ma’am Felisa Vino
- ICT Coordinator: Ma’am Kazelyn Aguba
- PES: Ma’am Melanie Albestor
- KAB: Ma’am Marites Espelita

3. The PSDS also sought for everyone’s cooperation in the preparation of the needed MOVs and
other related documents for Gawad Patnugot participation. Other concerns discussed relative
thereto are as follows:
- School heads shall prepare a separate notebook for note-taking during district meetings.
- On-site validation (Stage 2.A-upon receiving notification of qualification) of MOVs will be on

December 19, 2021. School heads to participate in this activity are Dr. Evelyn Delos Reyes,
Dr. Rica Suarez, and Ma’am Amparo Perez.
- As the district’s ICT Coordinator, Mrs. Marites Tarcelo will do all the necessary preparation for
online validation of documents to be held on December 20 at Mahabang Dahilig Elementary
School.
- Specific assignments of school heads for each set of MOVs are as follows:
MLETH: Ma’am Aileen Sobremonte
RETELL: Dr. Maricel Culla
LEADs: Sir Ryan Villahermosa/Ma’am Roanne Mendoza
SYSTEM: Dr. Rica Suarez
- MOVs include infographics, narratives, and in-photo documentation which are due on
December 10, 2021.
4. Other relevant matters that were tackled include:

- Decrease in enrolment rate of SNHS due to the establishment of nearby junior high schools
affected school’s performance and indicated excess in the number of teachers. As a result,
the school faces teacher shortage and is provided recommendations RE distribution of
teaching assignment. MDSHS has a complete set of teachers based on the SHS planning
parameter, ETEMES needs one additional teacher, CES and SMES have one excess teacher
each, and MDES as well as DES have been provided with an office personnel. Nino Jesus as
well as SNES, on the other hand, will conduct screening for TIC position. Meanwhile, SHs are
advised to encourage Teacher IIIs to take NQUESH.
- SBM Validation for schools in District V may be scheduled in January. Each one is advised to
prepare a checklist of SBM Documents which shall satisfy level 1 standard first in case the
school is qualified for level 2. Teachers, parents, learners and other stakeholders should also
be informed of the SMEA results, and weaknesses RE school’s performance shall also be
reported during exit conferences. Schools are also reminded on the proper and organized
filing of assessment tools for SBM purposes as practiced by SNNHS.
- Schools were asked about the 50k-Brigada request, and FINDES and were also reminded of
all that needs to be liquidated. School heads were also encouraged to include in the budget or
request some of the school’s special case needs (indigent, SPED, etc.). SNES will hold its
stakeholders’ meeting to seek for support.
5. Other important dates:

December 7 – Meeting with SDO Accounting Unit RE Preparation of Annex G
December 12 – Liquidation Deadline
December 17 – Last Day for Learners
December 20 – Outdoor Christmas Party
6. Other special reminders:

- Parents shall be reminded of professional courtesy when communicating with teachers, and
other school personnel.
- School personnel especially teachers and school heads must observe cautious utilization of
technology especially when attending virtual meetings or events.
- Failing students is allowed provided that justification of students’ performance in spite of the
interventions and remediation given is properly documented.
- Teachers belonging to LGBTQ+A Community should also exercise professionalism at all
times.
- School heads are also reminded about the preparation of the annual accomplishment report.
7. As an additional query, Mam Aileen Sabromonte sought clarification on the possible hosting of an
SDO event in Dao Elementary School, to which the PSDS responded by making the necessary
coordination with the SDS.
8. The PSDS congratulated the group for winning in various competitions, and applauded the efforts
of those who participated as well.
The virtual meeting ended at 11:00 am.
