Aim : To know the different types of occupations

Behavioural Objectives : By the end of the lesson, the pupils will be able to:

a. Given a set of pictures, identify and pronounce the names of various


occupations correctly,
b. Talk about their parents’/guardian’s occupations using the structures
given,
c. Interview two friends about their father/mother/guardian’s occupation

Teaching aids : pictures/photographs of occupations, word cards, sentence cards,

Word list : teacher, doctor, policeman, farmer, plumber, fisherman, astronaut, sailor,
pilot

Sentence patterns : a. What is your father/mother/guardian’s name?


b. What does he/she work as?

d. What does he/she do at work?
