Business Idea : Frozen food (tteokboki)

Business describe : My business name was “Jjang tteokboki” that means delicious
tteokboki, “jjang” was a Korean word which mean delicious. (떡볶
이 ), Tteokbokki, also known as “topokki” as easier sound for
foreigners is one of Korean snacks made with tteok (Korean rice
cake) and spice or sauce. Tteokbokki is a Korean traditional food,
“tteok” is the Korean word for rice cake and “bokki” is the Korean
word for something fried. I’m going to sell tteokbokki with two
variant like, tteokboki small, tteokbokki large. I will serve some of
frozen food of this tteokbokki, this tteokboki will taste so soft and
chewy.

Slogan

The slogan is “Soft, Thick and Chewy”. I use that slogan because it suits my product which has a
soft, thick and chewy textures.
Market Segmentation and target market

 My market segmentations are demographics and psychographics because my target


market are focus on the age, lifestyle, interest. My target market is those aged 15 years
old to 40 years old because I think they will like it, and now Korean food is on the rise,
especially for those who like to watch Korean dramas, they will definitely be more
interested in tasting it or trying the food or they who like Korean food.

Marketing Mix

 Product
- Product Variety: I’m going to sell frozen food of tteokbokki. I have two variant of my
tteokbokki like, tteokboki small, tteokbokki large. I sell the tteokbokki sauce too.
- Quality : Jjang Tteokbokki is a highquality tteokbokki and a healthy food,
Tteokbokki is a rice cake, rice cake also keeps the body’s metabolism healthy.
Tteokbokki also contain selenium which functions as an antioxidant in the body that
can protect the body from free radicals. In addition there is vitamin B6 which
prevents anemia by making lots of red blood cells and producing serotonin, the
neurotransmitters which improves appetite and mood.
- Packaging : For the Packaging I’m gonna use vacuum plastic that good for
frozen food so the tteokbokki still have a good quality and can last a long time. And
for the sauce I’m gonna use plastic bottle.

 Price
- Price List
The price of the tteokbokki are from 15k to 25k. For the Tteokbokki small the price
is 20k and for the tteokbokki large is 25k. For the tteokbokki suce is 15k. The price of
my tteokbokki is cheaper than my competitors. Because being a new seller of frozen
food I would not like to sell my tteokbokki at higher price. I wil try to sell on the
lowest price so everyone can reach it.
- Discounts
For those who buy 2 pack of large tteokbokki wil get a free sauce.
During the grand opening the first 50 customer can get a 20% discount in their
order
 Place
The product I’m gonna sell on social media platform, like instragam, facebook, twitter,
and others to sell it online. Especially in today's pandemic, it's better if I sell online so
that buyers don't have to leave the house. Selling online in my opinion is easier to reach
and is also very suitable for small businesses like this.
 Promotion
My promotion are from social media, like facebook, instragam, twitter and others. For
example post a good quality photo of my product, using a hashtags, promote my social
media promotion on all my social media platforms.

Marketing Program that can build customer loyalty

- I’m gonna offering some channels for feedback using the social media
- Make a giveaway from social media like, the client who post a most creative photo
with my product will get a reward.
- Give some discount vouchers to my client who have made purchases above 100K, the
voucher can only be used once and have a expired date, the expired date are 5 days
after you got the voucher.
