The grapple slide rail and the grapple body have the grapple extend/retract cylinder
attached which enables the grapple extend/retract function. The grapple body and
grapple head have the liner lift cylinder attached allowing the grapple to lift or lower the
grapple tool assembly, which includes the grapple tool pins and hook
The hydraulic pinning tool that interfaces with the liners is attached to the grapple head
Itholds them securely while they are placed on the mill shell. Alternatively, a hook built
into the grapple tool can be used for slinging of new liners into position or with the O-
ZONE Wom Liner Tools to assist with the lifting of old liners for disposal.
4.2.7 Linercart
The linercart transports new liners into the mill and old liners out of the mill. It consists
of a wheeled trolley that travels on the beam. The trolley supports a roller bearing slew
ring on which the linercart turntable is mounted. Manual rotation of the turntable is
indexed by a locking pin at 90° positions. The linercart is driven along the beam by a
wire cable running over sheaves, powered by a hydraulic motor mounted at the rear of
the outer beam, Cable tensioning Is by a screw take-up located on the trolley. Tension
